Is anyone else worried about Marotta & Aussilio finding "proper" reinforcements for the team, and Oaktree once again declines with "No, we're looking for young players". It's like they're on completely different wavelengths. Or it is all more or less media bullshit?

Probably media bullshit. The real reason is only because we have more suitable targets. According to the media just in case De Vrij leaving for Saudi Arabia, Inter first choice for replacement is Kim Min-jae. But he and Hermoso have only...1 year of age gap.

It’s more in the line of not actually having a seizable enough budget to actually strengthen the team.

It’s hard doing anything if you have to finance it with player sales, especially if you want to keep those who actually poses such.

Your not exactly getting much of a budget if you try selling the like of De Vrij, Dumfries, Augusto, Frattesi, Calhanoglu, Correa, Arnautovic or Carboni also by doing so it would need to be on the exact position and making an improvement in doing so is borderline almost impossible with the market value of these guys.

please tell Oaktree to stop their younger profile BS. Talented young players are expensive af these days, and they can still flop. For other young players, at least 90% of them will never reach our bench level.

If you want young players, then invest the fucking money. Otherwise, better let Marotta and Ausilio do their jobs.

There is another solution it’s called integrating primavera players into the squad instead of loaning them out, I know it’s a foreign idea.

About Oaktree, it seems they have a progressive thinking about how a football club is run. Everyone would agree that ideally a team should have a younger average age. We too want to sign a prospective young players, but we are also realistic with our financial situation. Thus Oaktree also must provide solutions (read: a lot of funds) to achieve that goal. Their idealism would be but a daydream if they do not backup our finance.

They will only clear out dept, which definitely would help, but they are never going to help finance players.

What they do if they decide for anything is improve revenue but it’s a plan that isn’t really helping the here and now.

You’re never going to solve that issue if you do not improve on it, the loaning out system has failed, whit the almost 0% success rate.
Yes, but your solution is not a solution. Integrating Primavera players to the first team doesn't work if those players simply aren't good enough. Which they aren't at the moment (and has never been apart from few outliers).

Dimarco raises your 0%

Money bought in from players who've been loaned out say hi.

The co-ownership system was more effective. The new sell with buyback clause is almost like it was so hopefully that will be more effective then the dry loans.

IMO the new sell with buyback is more clear and predictable. No need to negotiate with other club, no blind auction BS. There is a defined number, everyone knows that, if player exceeds that number with his development, he'll be bought back etc.
