Even Inter are linked with some forwards rumor, but I don't think Icardi would be sold. Since Rano will be gone for sure, then Icardi will be one of the remaining association trained player. It would be hard to replace him with some other association trained player.

Of cause, we can sign an association trained player for other position, but not many of them has good quality while available on the market, Ljajic is a rare case. If we look for association trained in other position, then most likely we will look at CB and midfielder, these two department are a bit thin compared with other positions. Candreva might be a good choice, but we already have enough wide mid/wingers.

the last 3 beast we bought from Porto worked out so great. Quaresma, Guarin and Periera

Porto has punked us worse then Lazio, Roma have done in the past

I like Porto as a team but doesn't change the fact that their league is basically a South American league. I think its retarded to pay more then 5 million euro for a player coming from South America and paying 4-5x that for a player coming from Porto because they spent 6months to a year in a slightly stronger league has always blown my mind.

They are a Udinese in a weaker league. They have good scouts that get players that other teams aren't willing to attempt then make a ton of money but the fact their players are worth more then ones from Bayern or Barca blows my mind

melo most definitely..Medel no, even if he isn't a starter he is a keeper on e we get a better DM.

out of the three ic clan u mentioned I would definitely keep Ljajic not so keen anymore on Jovetic tbh if we can get someone better.

I agree with you to some extent but I think it's better to wait until end of the season to decide on Ljajic. His inconsitances could be an issue.


But anyways, too bad Jovetic's deal is an obligation.

Kinda new here, didn't saw any threads about team tactics so i'll post here,

We need to build an identity on a formation, 4-4-2 would be my preferred choice as we have players suitable for this role.

Jovetic/Palacio Icardi/Calleri

Perisic/Ljajic K'dog/Goku Casemiro/Medel Brozo/Biabiany

Telles/Juan Murillo/Juan Miranda/Medel Santon/D'Ambrosio

Handanovic/Carrizo

This is the only formation for Jojo and Icardi to work together, and Brozo, I see him more as an attacking mid so might play in wing as well.

If Icardi leaves than we need to spalsh around 50m on a top quality striker in summer. Lacazette, Lukaku, comes in mind.

The most important thing is the young Dm to partner K'Dog. A ball player with good vision and defense. Casemiro, Xhaka, Rabiot comes in mind. Gundogan,Witsel will do fine as well.

When we get to champions league only thing remains to strenthen is the RB position, a cheeky bid to Carvajal will do.

I've read reports that Kroos wants out of Madrid; Casemiro would be the logical replacement for Kroos so he might not be realistic.

I still think our best formation is a 4-3-3 or a 4-3-2-1. A midfield trio of Kondogbia - Medel - Brozovic comes to mind, but I agree we to offload Guarin and sign another midfielder who can link our play better.

Xhaka and Witsel are great ideas, but perhaps are too expensive. I would gladly take either though.

You talking about the winter window? Well, if it was up to me, of course I would keep the three in addition to Biabiany and Palacio, maybe loan Manaj. Cant lie we all expected way more from Jovetic. That being said I still believe that we need him every match, he can do something out of nothing even after 100 attempts. Potential is there and he can always retain his old form, has quite an okay number with 4 goals and 1 assist. Ljajic has been better with 3 assists and 2 goals in fewer games, and his perfomance was better and more dangerous for us. Perisic on the other hand to me is the worst of them all, best thing he offers is workrate and nothing more than that. That being said I would still keep him.

For the midfield, dont care about Melo. As much as we need his experience he is a ticking bomb and can singlehandedly lose us games. Might keep him for the bench but wont give a damn if he leaves tomorrow. Medel should be kept, he is already familiar with our environment and he is good enough to be starter, but with 2 midfielders beside him. Even if we get a new DM he should be a good option from the bench.

Whenever Jovetic plays with Ljajic or someone who is more mobile, he can performs. For example in Lazio game, Jovetic was always marked by 2 players and whenever he received the ball, no body is making a space or available, while Ljajic keeps making up space, cutting into center, etc. Perisic is static in his zone. Perhaps it has something to do that Jovetic and Ljajic have played together before while Perisic is a newcomer. However, if I must choose, I will choose Jovetic - Ljajic who have performed better together than Jovetic - Perisic or Ljajic - Perisic.
