our football is not starting to look good, sorry but thats not true. we played a good second half against napoli but it was a combination of the team pushing harder 1 man down and napoli switching off in all honesty. the way we score goals and defend cannot keep us consistent because we defend in numbers and that makes us overly reliant on our strikers to create and score goals. ljajic for one has never been consistent in his career. (at the same time i've been saying this for the past two months and we've still been able to do it, but i really dont see how it can continue until may)

our midfield is really bad with the ball. against frosinone i recall we looked terrible whenever the ball wasnt in the final third. our midfield isnt balanced because it offers nearly nothing going forward (no creativity) which is why none of our attacks have any build up play.

i can only see us finishing within the top 3 if one of roma or napoli fuck it up, unpopular opinion.

The past 3 games, Frosinone, Napoli and Genoa have all been good games for us.

But meh, it's probably subjective, we can compete for a top 3 spot, we've played all the big teams and we're first so something must be going right.

I like Cristiano Piccini a lot, he is Italian, he was with Livorno on loan from Fiorentina that season when they were in A with the rest of Inter loanees, he was already talented that time, Fiorentina loaned him to Betis last year and then they bought him after a great season with them, although Fiorentina have a buyback close on him now.

Looks like Inter may be building another war chest:

Icardi - 40-50m
Murillo - 30-35m
Guarin+Nagatomo+D'Ambrosio/Dodo - 15-25m

That could easily be another 100m of cash flows to spend this winter and next summer. Plus some crazy profit in the books!! If we don't waste it on "potential" and focus on a few quality players instead, we could have a good team next season.

Selling both Murillo and Icardi seems unlikely to me. Although selling Guarin & Nagatomo is probably more unlikely based of historical evidence.
