Lucrative Jiangsu move awaits Inter duo

Suning Commerce Group, the Nerazzuri’s new owners, are brokering the deal to take the pair to their affiliated Chinese Super League team

Felipe Melo and Jonathan Biabiany are heading for the Inter exit door, with the club’s owners negotiating a deal to take the duo to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning.

Brokered by Suning Commerce Group, who completed a takeover of the Serie A giants at the start of June, the switch would see the two depart for the Far East to supplement the Chinese team’s squad in their current title challenge.

Jiangsu currently sit in second position in the Super League table, and want 33-year-old defensive midfielder Melo and 28-year-old attacker Biabiany before the end of the transfer window.

With negotiations well under-way, a deal between Inter and the Chinese outfit is thought to be close to agreement, however, neither Melo nor Biabany is yet to agree to the switch, and this may prove to be a stumbling block.

The Nerazzurri could also be set to lose another member of their squad in the coming weeks, with representatives of Marcelo Brozovic understood to be in talks with Atletico Madrid over a big-money transfer.

As it stands, an impasse has been reached due to Inter’s insistence on recouping €25 million from the Croatian’s sale. The Colchoneros, it is understood, are only prepared to go as high as €20m for the midfielder.

Brozovic scored eight goals in 51 appearances for the San Siro club as part of a year-and-a-half long loan spell from former team Dinamo Zagreb, and remains highly-rated in the game after a decent European Championship campaign with Croatia.

Does Kia have any defenders as clients?

Aymeric Laporte from Atletic Bilbao is his client. He was wanted badly by Pep at City apparently before they bought John Stones. Wouldn't be surprised to see us linked to him if De Boer really wants a ball playing defender.

He just signed a new deal though and his buyout clause is like 65 mil

I'm not happy with 25 million for Brozovic. I'm sure if we keep him we can make a lot more money in the future.

Plus, we still need depth so we need him unless we sign J. Mario and another midfielder.

They can only play players from certain parts of Spain. So sadly the option to send 2-3 shit players there way + 5 million isn't going to work

The problem isn't the clause. Every team is allowed to add crazy release clauses on their players.
The real issue is there will eventually be a team willing to pay that release clause.

How is this an issue? This is basic economics. Fans continue to pour money into teams. We buy tickets, we buY gear, and we watch teams on TV (leading to massive TV deals). As we spend more money, teams have more money. Would you prefer teams pocket all the money we give them, or use it to improve their teams?

Spanish clubs putting (crazy) release clauses on their players is nothing new

If we renew Icardi, we should be putting a 94 million euro release clause in his deal tbh.

Laporte would be a dream and perfect partner for Miranda. Unfortunately I think he's one of those players that all the usual suspects (Barcelona, Manchesters) are constantly linked to, so little chance of that happening.

I actually think crazy release clause are in some ways, setting up a hypo, (an easy way you can reach without hardcore negotiation) it is tempting those rich teams to trigger those crazy deals.
Like hugain with that 94M clause, probably if there is no such clause,
when jube increasing their offers like 50M, 60M, 70M, ADL will probably resist for couple weeks and eventually accept a figure much lower than that....

I prefer the third alternative. Teams improving their squads without overpaying for the players they need.
As about the money we give them, i prefer teams investing our money in other areas like improving their academy system or building new stadiums. Though it's just how i see it. I can imagine most people prefer transfers.

Of course everyone would prefer if Inter win the Scudetto with all players developed from the primavera. But that is not realistic in today's market, not for a big team in a top league at least. Can you think of any example of a team which wins in a top 5 league without spending big money? Please don't say Leicester, because that kind of fairytale only happens once in 100 years.

Having an own stadium is important because it will enable us to spend more on transfers. Having a great academy is also very important, but Inter tried hard and failed so far in that respect - it is not an easy thing to do. Specially for a big team which has high expectations, because you cannot afford to give too many chances for youngsters to develop.

Personally, while I would love an owned stadium and a great academy, I have no problems if Inter can assemble a quality team by spending money. I just want to see a competitive Inter in Serie A and CL, whatever way it happens.

Considering the political and legal environment of Italy/Milan makes it nearly impossible to build a new stadium, throw that situation out the window. The English clubs all have new shiny stadiums AND bigger budgets than us to spend on transfers. The world you dream of is delusional in today's economic climate.

These are just numbers being tossed around. I couldn't care less if we spend 100 million on every transfer if it doesn't limit the economic ability of the club moving forward. Basic inflation compounded with increased revenues in the game. It is what it is.

Suning should move Inter to Rome, if the authorities over there allow Roma to build their stadium :troll:

I bet the government of Milan/Lombardy, whoever is in charge, would think twice of hampering Inter or ACM in their plans if they could just move and get it built somewhere else :) #votewithfeet

Well, let's talk about Rome stadium then when something concrete is actually happening. It seems to be the same bullshit as in Milano. Politics, politics and nothing happens.

Yeah that would be nice but unfortunately european soccer is not like the NFL or NBA. Would be a nice threat but it would just alienate our fanbase.

I think most of you dont know that Icardi will get a problem.

We need Insigne, we cant wait for Gabigol. And im sure, he will not stay at Napoli. Like Quagiarella, Higuain, Cavani.. this isnt a top team, nobody will stay there. Prefering Gabigol over Insigne is a bad move..
