I don't think we can really blame marotta/ausilio for failure to offload our deadwood. Its already hard before covid, now it become mostly impossible. Even good players in top clubs like real or barca dont have bid. Players like isco, coutinho are good players with top experience but no club have bid for them. Of course their salaries alo have factor. Thats the same with our deadwood who has big salary relative to their ability.

Releasing hakimi was simply due to the circumstances. There was a deadline and the offer available was only for hakimi. Had offer to lukaku came first, we would have sold lukaku to meet the deadline and did not sell hakimi. Then again, had that happe , the price would not have been 115 mio. It would have been much lower. We only got that high because chelsea knew we do not want/need to sell lukaku. Hence they need to bid high.

Yeah and Hakimi move was done in July. Looking it now, it looked like a hasty decision. Actually I said it already in June it is a hasty decision. We should have put all our transferable assets on sale and the club who bids the most will get the player. Lukaku would have been gone but we would have had Hakimi now. Oh well oh well. Zhang has different ideas.

I really don't believe that, psg would just increase their offer, and he would have been sold anyway, even if lukaku was first. You have to remember zhang dictates who is gonna get sold, at least this mercato, and as we can all see everyone is up for grabs if a huge offer comes.

We would not get 115 M from Lukaku if we put him on display. We are lucky Chelsea are desperate to sign a striker and we are unlucky we must register a plusvalenza in July so it sort of balances out.

I don't understand what management is thinking, our midfield is absolutely fucking awful outside the starters. We would be fighting to survive relegation if we had to field our bench midfielders, and we didn't even try to get Locatelli and he went pretty cheap to Rubentus.

I would really like us to try to sign him. Specially if we are going for the 3511 formation. From what I've read Verona value him at 15m so maybe we could reduce that by adding Salcedo or Radu.

Marotta basically hinted it's mercato chiuso. Above everything else, i feel sorry for Nandez. He did everything he could to join Inter but in the end it wasn't enough.

I give a solid 6/10. I would give 9, had we not sold Hakimi. Terrible transfer (irreplaceable), terrible price (for his potential), and terrible time (TOO SOON. He is 22yo, still has FIVE years before reaching his peak price). That transfer alone drags the whole rating down.
