It's likely we are going to have a squad overhaul in the summer. Especially in midfield. Problem is there's no money. Even if we assume there won't be needed expensive sales (debatable) we aren't going to spend big. We will be mostly focused on free agency and loan deals. If all of Brozovic, Vidal and Perisic leave on a free we will need to find 3 starters with 0 net spent. It's going to be extremely hard to find proper replacements.

And we still don't have a proper alternative to Dzeko, who will be 36 years old.

It's a make or break summer for Marotta and Ausilio. Their performance will determine whether we remain Scudetto contenders or regress back to scratching for a UCL spot.

According to Sky, after Barella and Brozovic, the next players to be offered new deals are Dimarco, Skriniar and De Vrij. There could also be discussions with Vecino and Perisic at a later stage if the players want to stay.

Of the expring contracts only D'Ambrosio and Brozo should extend. And also Handanovic for 1 more year.
Please offload Vecino and the rest of the trash.

Lord almight just let Vecino go.
I totally feel you. Vecino is my most disliked Inter player, after Kolarov. If he doesn't leave now we'll be stuck with him for many more years. But i fear they may keep him for quantity reasons.

If all of Brozovic, Vidal and Vecino leave at the end of the season we'll basically have 3 1/2 players for 3 positions. Barella, Hakan, Gagliardini and Sensi. We would need to sign 3 new midfielders in a single transfer window. This would be a very tough task even when you have a high transfer budget let alone when there's no money.

In the end, they may be forced to keep Vecino.

Kolarov
Vecino
Ranocchia
Vidal
Perisic

Also, only saving the contracts of these 5 players, we can easily give Brozo the deserved 8m/year.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY PLEASE!!

I love Brozo but giving him 8m/year is crazy.

Expiring contracts:
-Vecino
-Vidal
-Brozovic
-Perisić
-Kolarov
-Ranocchia
-D'Ambrosio

Letting all them go would mean we need at leat 3 new defenders, 3 midfielders and one left wingback. It's not possible at all. The problem is that our loanees are not ready yet to join the first team. Sebastiano Esposito and Mulattieri are doing good, but we don't really need another strikers. Pirola doesn't play too much in Monza, Zinho is injured right now but he doesn't seem ready anyway, Agoume is nothing special in Brest as far as I know.
I guess we will offload Kolarov and Vecino, because they are useless and maybe try to extend Vidal and Perisić with lower salaries. Ranocchia and D'Ambrosio are fine, but would be cool to get Mathias Ginter or Luiz Felipe on free or try to bring Bremer from Torino.

Generally it looks difficult to fill all the gaps. Would be cool to bring a new young midfielder. There are few interesting names in Serie A like Davide Fratesi, Maxime Lopez, Ivan Ilić or Samuele Ricci. Too bad Rovella was taken by Juve, because he's great.

Any primavera player can do the role of Ranocchia / Kolarov / Vecino. These players are completely useless to be paid that quantity.

Even Barça and Madrid do it.

I agree in terms of Vecino and Kolarov, but Rano still has value. He plays very decent ever since he is just a backup and in terms of team chemistry / lockerroom atmosphere I really think that he is important there with his calm and friendly attitude. Same goes to Perisic who we should sign for another 2 years contract. With his fitness and training discipline he should still be a valuable player at the age of 34. 🤌

I would like extend Rano, Vidal, and Perisic if we win Scudetto this year. Or reach CL semi final.
Replace Dumbo or Vecino role with Nandez. Kolarov basically already replaced with DiMarco.
Last thing is replace Sanchez with Raspadori or Insigne.

It's hard to replace inspiring leader such as Perisic and Vidal.

It looks like our merkto will consist only of free agents :)

"Inter have lined up three Bundesliga players that they could sign to replace Stefan de Vrij and Marcelo Brozovic, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported today by Calciomercato.com, Marcelo Brozovic could leave the club in 2022 and Stefan de Vrij could also do the same when his deal expires in 2023.
That is why the club is already evaluating the options available for replacements. The league of major interest to Inter right now is the German Bundesliga as there is three players there that could be signed.
In defence, there is Matthias Ginter of Borussia Monchengladbach and the German national team, who has been linked with the Nerazzurri in the past.
There is also his teammate in midfield, Swiss star Denis Zakaria. He has also been linked with both Inter and AS Roma before.
Finally, there is Florian Grillitsch who will not be signing a new contract with Hoffenheim."

Yeah they are reporting we need to cut costs so we will replace outgoing freeagents with cheaper players, like youngsters.

GdS reported we will bring in Vanheusden and Pirola to the defence as our whole defensive line on the bench has their contracts expiring. I can guess we keep Ranocchia or D'Ambrosio unless we find a good free agent defender. In that case we might still keep one of those names if we end up selling De Vrij to Conte.

I don't think we will ever see someone like Recoba ever again, what a sweet left footer he was. Doesn't get the credits he deserve.

I loved Recoba.

I remember when i was a kid, and Australia had to play Uruguay to get in the World Cup. I was telling everyone Recoba would destroy them (They never heard of him, being its only EPL here) And Recoba put on a show and broke the hearts of every Australian. lol it was great actually.

Uruguay really do produce some prodigious talent, just dont know any of late?

Good players but not worthy replacements. Maybe other BLiga fans can opine on Grillitsch but after Toljan and Schulz I'd personally stay away from hoffenheim players.

It depends on the role our management have in mind for Grillitsch. If they're looking for a low cost option to give a rest to Brozovic and even De Vrij then he's fine. But if they're looking for someone to replace Brozovic then he isn't good enough.

Lol, Gosens is also a free agent next summer. I didn't know it. It will be great if Marotta can arrange something in January.

Gazzetta have a detailed article about Inter's plans over contracts renewals:

-Brozovic: There's a will from both sides to continue together. They didn't discuss figures yesterday but Inter are expected to offer 5.5m net plus bonuses while Brozovic demands are rumoured to be around 6m. The distance isn't that big and the parties are expected to talk again soon as Inter don't want to get into an auction.

-Dimarco: There are already discussions between the parties and the agreement is close for an extension till 2026 for around 2m net per season

-De Vrij: A sale looks more like likely than a renewal at this stage, also because of his age

-Skriniar: Inter's intention is to offer him an extension till 2026 and the talks are expected to start in the first months of 2022

-Alexis Sanchez: He has a contract till 2023 but Inter have a clause to terminate his contract one year earlier for around 4.5m

-Handanovic: Inter's intention is to extend his contract for one more season by offering him a Buffon-like role but with reduced wages
