Technical counter-part you say? Esposito / Merola / Salcedo / Schiro / Colidio you say?

33-year-old striker CANNOT be that expensive. We shouldn't be that desperate for this particular player.

Latest from Fabio Bergomi is that our offer is 40m for Dzeko and Pellegrini [has a release clause worth 30m] + a technical counter-part from our side.

He also confirmed that Rabiot is going to juBentus.

yeah im not sure if he means 40 M + a player or 20m + a player worth 20M

I think conte really likes dzeko, I remember couple of months ago dzeko said in an interview for bosnian media that he was really close to joining chelsea when conte was there, like waiting for an airplane to go to london kind of close, and deal fell apart if I remember correctly because dzeko wanted salary that chelsea couldn't pay, I think they have some kind of policy for older players, and he just asked too much.

Here`s my narrowed-down shopping list, I added up the figures just to check how realistic it is.

Everything seems doable, except for SMS because I cannot estimate how much would Lotito agree to... This is probably why we could sign someone else.

1. Godín [FR€€]
2. Barella [€30m + counterparts]
3. Chiesa [€45m + counterparts]
4. SMS [€??m] / Rakitić [€??m] / De Paul [€30m] / Pellegrini [€30m]
5. Lukaku [Icardi swap] / Džeko [€10m]
6. Danilo [€15m] *NON-EU

Total cost in ca$h = €130m

+/- Bergwijn if Ivan is sold [€35m]

I see nothing in Chiesa other then he is Italian to warrant 45 million + youth players

Also what is the last good Italian player we have purchased that hasn’t been a waste of money? D Amb? He isn’t inter quality. Before that Matrix?

What italian talent have we given away for trash players instead? Bonucci, Zanilo, Cannavaro, Pirlo? Why not just give our youth player shot instead of getting a hyped player plying with 0 pressure in some crap team.

Bonucci was a part of our deal for Thiago Motta. I don't think anyone regrets that deal or considers him trash.

If the plan is a 3-4-3 with Conte in charge, I wouldn't mind getting Chiesa and Sanchez. We also keep Politano who can come in for both. That could prove a great duo in Serie A. But if the style fails, it's gonna be a big waste and a change to 4-2-3-1 with no attacking midfielder.

Ideally we keep Icardi and Lautaro gets an enhanced role whenever we switch to 2 up front. Don't want Lukaku here, such a waste of a transfer budget.

With Barella and another midfielder we can have a good enough team and our only concern would be to add more quality in the wings since Candreva is probably not leaving and there aren't many cheap rotation options out there. Someone like Sansone, Perotti or Gaston Ramirez could be decent. Or De Paul if he didn't cost 25-30m.

Brazilian not Italian. He might have gotten nationalized but doesn’t count.

Marotta's targets will be players with championship experience. Good idea.

They claim that Chiesa (and Barella) will be the only exceptions to this. Which is also good, since there is an evident lack of Italian players with championship experience. We need to be the platform to provide that and become attractive to young Italian starlets.

Until you find out he meant players with experience in the EFL Championship.

I still wouldn't mind, it's a better league than the Serie A anyway.

Inter out of settlement agreement, no more cases like Rafinha and Cancelo. Nerazzurri will close fianncial year in the positive while Milan and Juventus will be in red zone

What a LIE. We will still try for a loan midseason, I'm pretty sure.

Could anyone here explain how come fcking Fabian Ruiz from Betis looking like a world beater against us and he was bought for 30 mln, whereas all of our 24-30 mln price tag range midfielders all are totally shit this season (Vecino,Radja,Gags). Could it be the case of having professional sport director and scouts in one team and Inter's mentally challenged managers in the other?

That's exactly what I was thinking while watching the game, our scouting is shit, but that's so obvious its not even worth repeating anymore.

I remember Sabatini wanted to bring him to Inter in January 2018 but sadly we could offer only a loan with option to buy which was unsurprisingly rejected by Betis. In the summer we were too busy getting Spalletti's prodigal son to go after Ruiz.

Fabian Ruiz wasn't the only bargain we missed in the last months. Giovanni Lo Celso, who has been outstanding for Betis, was available on loan with option but we were too busy with chasing an impossible target (Modric). Tielemans also was available on loan with option in January but Ausilio said it would be too hard to improve the team.

I really enjoyed all that rubbish about Modric last summer, especially the idea (I dunno if this was ever proven legit or not) that we lost a chance at getting Vidal, as much of a cunt as he may be, to pursue an impossible and, frankly, ridiculous dream like Modric last summer. Modric who, btw, didn't have a particularly good season this year, not that this was a surefire thing at the time, but someone with his mileage, his age, and coming off going to a World Cup final (one in which Croatia, essentially, played one more game than anyone else because three 30 minute extra times = 90 extra minutes total) was always a candidate to have a not-that-good season this year anyway. Even if that did happen, Christ, imagine the stick that Ausilio would (rightfully) get had that happened.

The Settlement Agreement fucked us in many ways, but we've also fucked ourselves in many ways as well. Pretty much every transfer acquisition we made has disappointed us in one way or another, and only one of them - Vrsaljko - was it really not his fault.

How many times do we have to go over this?

We didn't lose Vidal because we wanted Modric. Modric also wanted to come, let's not ignore this. It was Perez who blocked the transfer, because obviously it was up to him to accept or reject.
Heck, I'll add more.
We didn't lose Cancelo because we didn't want him but because we didn't have the cash that Valencia demanded.
We didn't lose Rafinha because we opted to purchase Nainggolan.

We lost Vidal because we were skeptical about his knee and then Keita Balde became available who some people at the club (and FIF) rated very highly. Barcelona so that Vidal didn't become official and swooped in, offering him twice the salary. Even if we did want to sign Vidal at that point, it'd be very hard. The non-EU spot was used up for Keita Balde instead.

Luka Modric was a "gift" from Suning, completely unrelated to anything else. And they didn't even understand that they couldn't get Florentino Perez to sign up for a discount fee of 15m + whatever option. We wanted both of them but ended up with zero midfielders instead, that's how sad our situation was at the final moments of the window, despite the promising start. We just couldn't offload the junk to replace them with some quality instead.
