Freuler is about to extend or he's already done it. I don't like the idea of integration of both Frattesi and Agoume. With 3 slots in the mid, one of them will rot on the bench as our starters are already known. I'd take Frattesi and Bonaventura + 5g for the back up three. Bona's contact expires in the summer and he will come for free, so it's not needed investment there.
Shit, I really like Freuler and he could be also a back up for Brozo. Even if Brozo is an ironman, don't forget he will be 30yo and we need someone to let him take a breath.
But Frattesi, Bonaventura and 5G for back-ip line is OK. But Frattesi needs to play a lot. At least 1800m per year. He is still in development phase.

Wait a fucking minute? You say no to Maggiore or Thorsby because they are mediocre. But in the same time you are ok with Nandez for 17m. I don't see them regularly, maybe you also don't, but there is a much difference between them? This is just a serious question. A bonus for Nandez would be, that he can play multiple position and can be used as a jolly joker.
Il Drago said if the loan + option is not a masked obligation, then loan (6 months) could be fine.

Yes, Frattesi should be 4th option, taking Barella and Hakan's spots in first opportunity. Bonaventura can cover any position, and will help when injuries, suspensions or tiredness come. Gagsi can sit on the bench and watching for free.

Realistically, whos better than Vecino and available for 6 months?
Van de beek Manu imo, Ndombele tottenham, Thorsby, Lukic Torino, Ilic Verona, Busio Venezia, Lo Celso tottenham, Nedim Bajrami Empoli etc. Choose one.

He's also more expensive.

And the biggest question would be why would van de Beek want to move to a new country to sit on the bench again.
Fourth choice midfielder is better than never play :yao:

What Cafe said. I only mentioned Nandez as a potential 6-month option. I just want us to sign a decent midfielder for 6 months in order to avoid playing Gagliardini against Liverpool. I don't want us to commit to any long term contract though. For the long term i only want Frattesi.

I see it that way - Jube bought Vlahovic for 75 mln, we are getting Gosens, Frattesi and Scamacca for almost the same cash and offloading Pinamonti (most probaly) in the same time.

Add Dybala to the equation and we can get launched to the stratosphere. I hope this thing with Gosens is just warm up for summer mercato :)

And it seems that they will earn similar amount of money combined as Vlahovic

A few thoughts on the ongoing transfer campaign:

The reports seem too good to be true. The papers suggest we're gunning hard for Frattesi, Scamacca and Bremer who are the exact three players that I consider absolute must-buys for this team. While we've already secured Gosens of course.

Frattesi reminds of a more offensive minded Barella who likes to run with the ball. Calhanoglu, Eriksen, neither of them really did that. They were passers much more than dribblers. The last guy who was able to bring the ball forward like that, and hook up with the forwards, was Sensi, before he tragically passed away in October 2019. De Paul would've been great too but that's in the past.

Scamacca is the best available Vlahovic consolation prize possible and a perfect candidate to replace Dzeko as our target man. I will probably be forever bitter that Suning did not get Vlahovic immediately after selling Lukaku but it is what it is.

Bremer on the other hand manhandled Vlahovic a few weeks ago and has been the standout defender of the season for me.

The question is how do we afford all of this.

Some of the outlay on Scamacca and Frattesi will likely be offset with some younger players heading the other way, hopefully Vanheusden and/or Pinamonti for example. Bremer's asking price however, seems to have risen from €15m a few months ago to around €30m.

We've also just spent a sizeable amount on Gosens (even if the money is to be paid the financial year afterwards when his option/obligation is triggered).

de Vrij may have to be sold, but I'm not against that. Problem is I just don't see us getting anything over €20m for him.

There are already rumours, from a reliable source like ANSA too, that Barella will be sacrificed, much like Hakimi was. Goes without saying that would be unacceptable but let's see what happens.

Naturally the outgoing transfers will play a big part in determining the overall success of the transfer windows but regardless of who is outgoing, Bremer, Scamacca and Frattesi MUST be acquired as far as I am concerned.

At best the transfers out from our squad are Vidal, Vecino, Džeko and D'Ambrosio -> but that doesn't guarantee any money, so probably at least two of Sanchez, Sensi, Perišić and De Vrij are leaving too (mostly because of wages), at worst also Lautaro or Barella. It's quite a predicament. I love De Vrij, but if he is sold, I'll understand. Same with Lautaro.

But I will be depressed if Vecino and Vidal stay and we sell Barella.

Overall, I at least want 3 forwards that have enough stamina + one of Sanchez/Džeko, I want 4 good enough midfielders (the fourth one being Frattesi)+Gags +hopefully Sensi comes back from death. With defence I think we'll be set with Bremer and another older CB just in case.

Don't have one.
If i could choose only one of Sassuolo guys, i would definitely go for Frattesi. He's the real deal. Maggiore and Thorsby aren't Inter material, even as backups. We need to stop bringing mediocrity to the club.
Same here, frattesi passes the eye test for me, scamacca not so much. Also, the problem with scamacca is that I don't see our attack dramatically improving if he comes, he just isn't that kind of quality right now, despite him possessing talent, and I already said a million times that we are full of above average strikers who have some kind of potential, but I really think we need to buy at least one who is great, or who has in him numbers that lukaku had last season.

Issue with strikers is that if you want immediate quality and not just short-term (meaning young player) you need to pay Vlahovic money or close to that. We don't have such money.

That's why we need to go for these up-and-coming scamaccas etc
