because if our management don't offer a contract now, this is the last time we can sell him in the summer, which is what they might be doing on purpose - which is a risky move

there is no guarantee that Skriniar signs a new contract, especially if management acts like pricks. If he goes for free, that's no 60 or 70 mil our management could gather and that makes everything 10 times worse all of a sudden.

Agreed thats why i said assuming skriniar signs a new contract.. If he does not we re fucked......
But that would be a massive fuck up of our mgm, but i d guess that we re very confident that he ll sign a new contract even if it s just as a favour to inter to then get sold next summer.
I d guess we d be a bit more desperate if we thought that was an option....

If it turns out that he goes for free next season beppe and ausilio will have some though questions to answer....

i hope this ends soon, so that the new CB's can come and train with the team.

who are the new CB's? Ranocchia gone, Kolorov retired, Skriniar-Pirola-VanHeusden follow them soon. Who will replace them all?

Yep I've been on this line of thinking for a while as well. A backline of Bastoni-Bremer-Milenmovic is still the best in the league. If we can do that and sign Dybala we improved the team over the summer quite a bit. I love Skri but the longer the inevitable gets delayed the more likely we lose Bremer.

Selling for 65 million to then turn and buy Bremer for 35+ Million is Inter underselling their asset to then pay market value for replacement.

This is the sustainable way? Understand that capital gains are required but underselling because you have to doesn’t make sense in these situations.

De Ligt maybe younger but he isn’t a better defender to Skriniar. It’s just his club doesn’t have to sell.

Recent reports say the two deals are seperated from one another.

If we get both Bremer and Dybala than selling Skriniar(for 70m minimum) can be somehow acceptable. Otherwise fuck off.

If someone came and said straight up Dybala Skriniar swap, i wouldn't say yes. Never. Maybe 2/3 years ago, but not now.

The dude doesn't want to leave. I mean, he is not begging to stay, but he is more than happy to.

The more i think about it, the more i am against him leaving. It's gonna be so rare to find a compatible partner for Bastoni. Their personalities clicked so fucking perfect. Never ever did they argue on the pitch, always covering for one another. I mean, this guy will be valued once he leaves. Now (as much as we don't want to admit) we take these great players of our for granted.

Can't we sell Correa, get rid of Dzeko, Sanchez and De Vrij?

No we can't. Correa didn't wanna go to Marseille, which i dont blame him. Sanchez is still waiting for a top club to come and get him, which will never come. Dzeko is worth nothing with his 5M salary. And De Vrij had such a shit season that no one wants to buy him and he will also be free in a year.

well somebody should just ask him, wanna stay and sign a new contract or you wanna leave?
I mean something is happening because I doubt they all are that f... stupid and not talk, i doubt it is one lunch for one question and ome dinner with dssert for two questions, c'mom they talk just not every thing is leaked, so something is happening and it's got to be that Inter decided to sell him and he is too big gentleman to say I wanna stay and start a fight between menagement and fans...

Are we forgetting the percentage that has to be paid iirc around 15% mention earlier to Sampdoria., So if 65M is the final price for this debacle Inter only pockets ca. 55.25M.

Is there such resale clause? I remember reading there isn't one.

Watch Skriniar stay and not sign a new contract, walking away free in years time. Obviously I don't see Skriniar as that type of player to do that but hey...

And I wouldn't blame him for it, I would have doubts too signing a new deal for a club that's been openly trying to sell me for at least 2 transfer windows.

Still think he's gonna end up sold though.

It could be a rumor, but someone here said there was percentage for the resale. Hence my comment and one early on the original price @ 80M. Don't like the price and hope the percentage thing was wrong. Percentage story from semperinter I think. I think FCinterNews says no percentage to Sampdoria. Guess we'll all just have to wait and see.
