What does that even mean?
That we will negotiate with the agent and there is no deadline for the deal (apart from when it ends obviously).

Media just wants to write about this, like they did with Brozovic's renewal case. They come up with all kinds of explanations, timeframes, deadlines to keep readers interested.

Enjoyed the banter between Skriniar and Onana near the end of the match today. Onana seems to appreciate Skriniar, because he isn't DDA and more than mgmt it appears.

Exactly why I don't pay attention over those media especially during the break and during transfer window. People like to make shit up on twitter contradicting their yesterday tweet and unfortunately lots of people here lose their shit over stupid tweets, just like what happened to bro and bastoni. Just relax and see what happens, nothing we can do anyway.

I like that they are giving him respect, even tho it comes from desperation. I hope they will show respect also when he comes to Meazza with a different club. He never disrespected Inter or Inter fans in any way.

What does this even mean lol surely it is confirmed already.
I know right.

It's widely reported that Skriniar is holding out for €6.5m base salary with €1m bonuses, while we're not willing to go above €6m base and €0.5m bonuses. Imagine losing your best player and future captain over such a difference.

I can imagine this dickhead Marotta shaking Skriniar's hand, warmly smiling as if everything is alright, and then saying "congratulations Milan, after much thought I just wanted to confirm our intent to make an offer of 6m + 0.5m bonuses."

How is getting nothing for Škriniar better? Why didn’t they try to make him a contract offer in the summer to determine the players willingness to stay?
I did not write that. I was just writing that Skriniar is worth more than 50M and I would not have sold him either for just 50M.

There is still time to cash in on him, if that was the plan. But the plan was to retain and extend him, unless an obscene amount [a la Lukaku] comes in.

Club obviously didn`t offer him a new contract back then because the wage cost would have risen by millions 1 year earlier (and the club is broke).

He's gone. Very unlikely he refuses PSG and higher salary for this. Wish we were as good in extending our best players contract as we are in keeping our scraps.

Why play with Messi, neymar and mbappe when you can play with lakaka, dumbfries and Gags

I tell you that, playing in PSG can't be as fun as you guys imagine. There's too much ego in that team, and besides Messi won't be there for too long I guess. As a football player, I would enjoy more playing with teammates whom are humble, commited and also respectful toward the others. These are things which PSG lacks, big time, and therefore they can't achieve success in CL.

In our current state how is playing for Inter any better right now?

At least PSG can attract players and win some titles along with making nearly double his salary. Hilarious that people think Inter is a better choice.

Some players get attached to the club where they've grown, and Skriniar is one of these. You remain in that place where you feel respected, appreciated and everything else. Besides Skriniar knows that our fanbase loves him so much, and even teammates respect him a lot, so these things should be taken into consideration.

I won't even be disappointed if he leaves, because he has shown maturity, professionalism and commitment towards Inter during these years. I blame no one but our management for all this mess happening around since last summer transfer market. But then again, I believe he will remain here. A change is inevitable in this club, so it's just a matter of time.

I would give Skriniar what he wants, even if I don’t think he deserve that salary. I would try to renew him and sell him next summer ~40-50m like what Torino did last summer with Bremer and go after Scalvini with lower wages.

I don’t blame Skriniar for going after money and I rate him as a player/person.

I also don’t blame our managment for ”what happened last summer”. As I have wrote earlier, good players get offers and club and player will evaluate what is best for everybody? This is normal in sports.

There is no disrespect to anybody and I think Skriniar is smart enough to understand current situation of this club finances, after few years of pandemic.
