For me he should be the new captain but as we all know I'm not objective.

Turn around of the season for me. Was really struggling last season to adapt to his position and even his defending was off sometimes. This season he is back and slowly becoming better than ever. His defending was on point and at times world class when needed but now even his passing and off the ball performances are good. He will never become a De Vrij in terms of passing etc but he makes this up with his grinta and fighting spirit.

Glad we still have him in our team and hopefully our defence will stay. I truly think we can have a far better and more popular back three than the shitheads from the Juve-era.

For me he should be the new captain but as we all know I'm not objective.

1. He is one of the players that play the longest for us
2. He is gone through more difficult journey with us (compared to De Vrij, Lukaku, Bastoni or other players who are consistently play and performed for us since they came to Inter). It is a big sign that he has the persistence and grinta to overcame difficulty in our team - the other player that may gone through same difficulty probably only Broz.
3. Did not complain even when he is benched for certain period;
4. Never showing bad or annoying attitude on the field to teammates, unlike Broz or Barella;
5.He changed his agent who was trying to delay the contract extension with us. This is the ultimate factor for me.

I think he is the player who deserve the most to get the next ban captain. Barella is touted for the next captain simply just because he is Italian. I like Barella too but next season is not the right time to give him a captain status.

Skriniar wants to stay at Inter

Skriniar was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur last summer, but the 26-year-old stayed at San Siro and has played an important role in 2020-21. After Inter picked up their 19th Scudetto this term, Skriniar expects the rumours of his future to continue this summer.

“There have been rumours, there are and there will be,” Skriniar told Sport Aktuality. “However, I have never listened to or commented them.

“Of course, it will be no different after this season.”

The Slovakia international played 30 Serie A games after having started the season quarantined in his homeland.

The defender’s contract with the Beneamata expires in June 2023 and he is certain he will remain at the club beyond the next transfer market.

“I want to enjoy this great feeling now, then I want to finish the season and prepare for the European Championship,” he said.

“If I will defend the title with the Inter shirt next year? Yes, of course.”

i think its clear that Conte had a better relationship with some players. Lautaro for example still hasnt posted anything about thanking Conte, while Lukau was the first one. I really do think that some guys are ok with him being gone.
