No, no, no, Bremer takes the central spot and puts Vlahovic to his pocket. Skriniar can continue terrorizing the right flank. I think our CB line will be fantastic if we just can sign Bremer.

I guess it really doesn’t matter but I think Bremer could make more sense on the outside since he should on paper be a little better against a speedy winger. Let’s see if we can sign him first then we can worry about who plays centrally.

No doubt this guy is the leader here. We all see his behaviour on the pitch but I suggest you to look the moments in the tunnel before the start of the second half of the games and how he gathers the players and always encourages them.

I just hope he does not feel undervalued (capitano Barella) and decides to go for a new adventure.

I f*ckin love this guy. It looks like when he is in the middle of the defense he is on his best. Fighting with the striker and just put the lock on the door. He was amazing yesterday, he is so pro-active in his defending. What a difference with De Vrij, especially this season. We should pay this guy what he wants and gift him the captaincy. Always lifting up the spirit of the team, always applauding his teammates for their defensive efforts and always defending our shirt with his grinta.

Our two best defensive displays this year came with him playing centrally and D’Ambrosio playing RCB. We gave up chances yesterday and against Liverpool but we didn’t break. Mentality is key.

Did we all notice him essentially giving Vlahovic the ‘Samuel treatment’ from minute 1? It was borderline psychological abuse, every time Vlahovic went near the ball he ended up on the floor.

Vlahovic always struggles against more physical CB. Skriniar had a good game, put Vlahovic in pocket except one event that Vlahovic made the turn and shot a bit wide. If that was in, it would change whole perspective.

Aside from letting Vlahovic turn that one time, he was perfect. Captain’s performance.

He’s better suited to the middle imo. Less chance he gets outpaced and he has good instincts being the last man.

Love this guy to bits, always make me chuckle too but a couple of times lately he's been almost too aggressive with a couple of his shoves and nudges - I've been amazed he had avoided a string of yellows/red so far.

Agree, good performance but locking Vlahovic in rube's current set up was no huge achievement.

Vlahovic is too one footed that Skriniar only needed to covered his left foot, his right foot was a none threat, you saw what happened that one time when he tried to shoot with his right

The only other tool he had was his speed but it was completely unutilized. All in all, easy day for Skriniar.
