This is just some serious angle shooting.

Also, about the earlier post, why the plusvalenza requirement can't be FFP, why it can't be Oaktree? We don't know much about the Oaktree deal. There can be all kind of clauses there.

But how much plusvalenza do we need for the 2021-22 season, man?

It was over 80m from two big sales.
115m for Lukaku with a book value of 48m which makes us 67m, let's say 60-65m or whatever for convenience.
70m for Hakimi with a book value of 32m, so that's another 28m. Let's make it 20-25m.

We got a few millions for Politano's deal to Napoli. Let's say 5m.
Candreva was sold slightly north of his book value, so let's say break even.

So a minimum of 85m plusvalenza. And what did we spend?
Well, Correa doesn't get a full transfer until July 1st, so not much on him. 5m at most.
Dzeko with less than 2m transfer cost? So 1m capital hit for the 2 year deal at most?
Dumfries with a 15m transfer cost, less than 4m capital hit.
Hakan free transfer, let's say it gets 3-4m due to the signing costs.
Darmian was made official. Was like 3m, so around 1m capital hit.
We took a 7m hit on Joao Mario.
We took a 9m hit on Radja Nainggolan.
Not sure on the Vanheusden situation but let's add another 5m there.

Does Conte count? That'd be another 7m.

That's 40m capital hit with a lot of ifs. Putting us at a surplus of over 40m in capital gains.

Don't remember the annual amortization costs but we have added ticket revenue (compared to the 2020-21 season), we have added at least 15m from advancing from the CL group stage (could be 25m).

I'm just struggling to see what causes all this. The Oaktree loan as far as it's been reported just requires a steep interest payment.

we are like roma now

semi-final night in CL, president saying about making next step and day after, selling core player

im sure, with the right offer for skiniar-80 mil, barella-110 and lautaro-150, we would sell them all in one mercato and bring bellanova/asllani guys

I don't know how much plusvalenza we need. We can't know that. We don't know what Zhangs want.

But I'm like so much more into owners wanting something or Oaktree wanting something than Marotta pulling some fucking game of thrones power plays just because. This Marotta thing makes so little sense and finding some presence to that is just way too vague.

Well, I'm just saying it's possible because he's done it several times in his career.

And he's been trying to sell Skriniar ever since he set his foot here, which should alarm everyone.

Yeah it's surely possible. But with Occam's razor, the most obvious explanation is Skriniar is marketable, there are always clubs ready to sign him. While at the same time these kind of defenders (on the pitch skills) are relatively easy to replace.

Last year Hakimi for Dumfries
This year Skriniar for Bremer

I feel this was interesting because Dumfries value was up to 40 million then Bremer can up to 80 million next year.

Marotta kinda prepare profit for the future if Suning need money.

it's even worse if they're selling Skriniar to make the books look better for some American fund they want to sell to at a higher valuation...
Yeah. I mean that's probably the point of this whole "sell one big player" BS. To make the books look better so they can find a buyer who pays enough.

Disgusting.

Don't have one.

Is it known how much debt we paid already? Coz that's the legitimate concern now with every player we buy or own. Surely this type of rigid strategy of selling the best players every summer has to have some kind of end game, unless zhang takes a similar loan, in which case all hell should break loose.

Brehme isnt wrong about Marotta's willingness to sell literally everyone. But anyone who pays attention to Marotta's track records already knows that.

The shit about punishing players etc etc... is purely pulled from his ass. I'm more surprised some of you actually buy that

Where did I say that he's punishing players?

Why are you mixing up what @Universe brought up with what I originally said?
