No Inter players is ”safe” as long Suning owns Inter. If the offer is high enough, we will sell as we need money.

I see this narrative weird that it’s only Marrotta who want to sell all our best players? Maybe people are blind or just full of hate and can’t see or don’t understand what is happening?

It was Marotta who was buiding great team with likes of Conte, Lukaku, Eriksen, Hakimi, Barella, Sanchez… but then Covid came and fucked Suning. I see Marotta the one who is doing damage control as we are bleeding money and Suning don’t have any interest or money to invest?

There are rummours that Zhang is looking to sell Inter and I really hope that is the case and we get new owners with some money!
Everyone knows at the end of the day Suning is ultimately responsible for defining the financial and operational parameters of the club.

However, that doesn't absolve Marotta for how he's performed within those parameters, difficult though they may be. He absolutely deserves criticism for many areas of his management, primarily for his rank incompetence in selling anyone who isn't already a high value player.

Even then, he sells these top assets (or tries to) far too generously. Hakimi for €60m was a joke. Two years ago, Skriniar would've been gone the second Tottenham offered 40m + 5m bonuses but thank fuck they cheaped out at 35m.

People have relaxed a little bit but Skriniar still might be sold if PSG finally offers more than 60m. Gotta watch out for Chelsea too. After losing all their defenders and their main target in Kounde, they'll be desperate for a top class CB.

And how is everyone forgetting that Bastoni was practically a done deal to Spurs just a few weeks ago? For a mere 55m?? The only reason Bastoni is still at Inter is because the player himself refused to move. Marotta on the other hand, accepted Spurs' bullshit offer, and almost certainly coalesced with Tinti to pressure Bastoni into accepting the move. "He must be professional and adjust..."?? Remember that?

Get to the root of this bullshit and consider why he is so keen on selling these stars - because he fails to generate ANY revenue from smaller departures. Sure, it's hard to sell deadwood, but every other team out there is doing it far more successfully than us. Look at the vast number of players who have left the club in the past few years, including loans, and compare that with how much revenue we've generated from these players. It's shockingly low. The conversion rate of departure : income is abysmal.

As I addressed in my previous Marotta post, these problems are all tied with his management style with relation to renewals and purchases. Why is he always letting important players run down to the final year of their contract? Why is he only ever purchasing proven mediocrity within Serie A instead of exploring the huge talent pools in France for example?

If he renewed and purchased better, we might save money and sell better. This would go a long way towards helping us avoid our yearly going-out-of-business sale. A lot of this is on Marotta. That's why he gets a lot of criticism from some people.

Even Tare at Lazio managed to sell that useless nugget Muriqi for a moderate sum. At least by Lazio’s standards. Friggin guy had 1 goal for Lazio and was so bad that his own teammates ridiculed him for how poor he was. And not like he was a young player needing a change of scenery. He’s 28 for fucks sake.

It seems to me that Marotta is looking for an easy way out every summer rather than finding alternatives. Hakimi and Lukaku last summer and this summer, it’s been nonstop rumours for our best CB’s. Unless Zhang sells the club, next summer will be even worse when we have to sell Barella and/or Lautaro. If by some miracle, we hang onto Skriniar, I’m expecting a ridiculous fire sale 12 months from now. So let’s hope they deliver a scudetto before the squad is gutted.

I agree with everything you said but the comment about French league. Imo the league we should be targeting is Bundesliga. Reasonable prices, rich talent pool and level is higher and more representative than Ligue 1.

Its easier for other clubs to get rid of their trash cause there is alway Inter to buy that trash.

Who are these useless players Marotta should sell?

Dalbert was going but busted his knee.

I think Simone likes Gags and his wages are pretty low and what we could get for him?

Lazaro is actually been pretty good at preseason and I would like to keep him. He is pretty low wages.

Sensi value has dropped cause of his constant injuries. So if his loan at Monza is succesful we might get some money from him next summer and break even? We can’t make more losses.

Sanchez, Vidal, De Vrij, Correa… You know they have 2-4 times higher wages than Murigi? It’s easier to sell players if they have lower wages.

Even if we sell Gags, Sensi, Lazaro, Dalbert for moderate fee would it bring us that extra €60m?

So one big player will be sold this summer or the next.

Dzeko, Gags, Dambro, Dalbert, De Vrij, Handanovic, Cordaz will leave for free or retire next summer.

Let's not give Tare to much credit, he's close to signing Vecino.

Agree with a lot that has been said, especially Marotta looking for the easy way out by getting the sale that Suning wants, last year Hakimi, then this year Bastoni and now Skriniar. Unfortunately, Marotta boss is Stevie, who appears to have the business acumen of a rotten cabbage according to the latest financial scuttlebutt.

Marotta is also saddled with the "push for Scudetto "ramifications; long term expensive contracts to players who are way past their sell date. These players needed a golden handshake to GTFO or are delusional and think they are still "world class" and refuse to leave.

Marotta has also "gambled" on contracts namely Perisic, De Vrij and Dzeko. Ok, the Perisic deal, is covered by the "injured" and entirely different Gosens. De Vrij's case, is not really his fault, the rapid lack of confidence and or physical decline are things he can't control. The Dzeko deal, looked like a stroke of genius until about March, then the wheels fell off the cart and haven't recovered.

This year, he got Allsani and Bellanova which at first glance, appear promising. The failure to get Bremer and Dybala hinged on getting the Skriniar deal done first. The majority of blame rest with PSG imho, with their cheapness and Dybala's coke addled agent. If Chelsea comes begging, Inter should stick it to them for 90M, cause the season is starting . Else offer Skriniar a new contract today.

Worried about selling Dumfries and Lazaro now, since Inter appears to shaky on the flanks . However, if selling them will lessen burden for next summer's Suning restrictions so be it.

@Universe if only you knew about Marotta's blocked sale attempts this season...
Could have saved Skriniar (or anyone) and could have gotten Bremer as well.

Dumfries would eventually get sold but they're also worried they cannot sell anyone, that's why Marotta is keen to sell a top player. Quick and easy money.

You guys do realize only sensi went out on loan that was a squad player but he had been loaned out in January. Vecino was replaced with Asllani and Vidal with Micky so anyone who goes now needs a replacement minus pinamonti who is being sold and Sanchez who doesnt want to leave. This means you'd have to sell a bunch of players and then replace them with acerbi options to make your 60m it makes much more sense to sell one player and get a B option

Ok…Ok…

Let’s imagine Marotta left now. What you guys think we should do and who would you sell to get Suning demands?

Fuck you, PSG! ... and Zangs as well.

HOT HOURS - Bad news for Inter fans regarding the permanence of Milan Skriniar. Although PSG strengthened with the arrival of Mukiele from Leipzig, the Slovakian remains a major goal for the defense. So much so that - according to what is reported exclusively by Sportitalia - tomorrow a meeting is scheduled between the management of the Parisians and Inter to continue discussing the player.

Can you please tell us mortals who was those players that Marotta ”blocked” so we can at least speculate a little?

Is there a CEO that has not made a mistakes? I know there are many who suck even if they are given big money and most of them can be found at PL. Marotta have won us trophys already and ”missing” one Dybala or Bremer don’t change that.

I think I have to remind you that it was Marotta who got Hakimi to us and if you think €66,5m for Hakimi was a joke I don’t know what to say? That is highest payed fee from a wingback ever!

People also don’t talk about or remember what circumstances we were and we were goin to bust as Suning had problems to keep Inter at operation. There were talks that can we even finnish the season, as wages was not paid to the players. Pandemic fucked everything.

Lukaku was also one great big sale! €113m for him is fucking crazy if you ask me and what make it even more crazier is he got him to us back for €8m loan deal.

I’m sorry but those Bastoni and Skriniar ”possible sales” are only total bs.

But one thing is certain, one or two big sales are coming. Maybe this summer or next. Even if he would have sold couple of deadwood players we would still need to sell one big player. But I trust our managment that they can find good enough replacements as they got Dumfries to cover Hakimi for €13,7m. Dumfries was again one good transfer if you ask me?

You and others also criticise that Marotta can’t sell deadwood? When was the time when Inter were good at selling deadwood and would it sudently change if Marotta left now?

One thing I agree with you is I don’t like that he do leave important players contract renewals so late. Maybe he just want to milk it as far as he can to save money? Perisic was a clear mistake for me and I mentioned at start of the merecato.

But I think he has pretty good track record of sporting succes (shitloads of trophys) and one thing is getting free older players. And if I look at our team I see good age distribution and our team is very balanced and we have good dept. So our managment have done good job if you ask me?

LWB position I would still want to see someone fast like Kostic. I’m fine if we get Acerbi to cover De Vrij as I see him same level as Rano.

We have also just got young players like Agoume, Satriano, Asllani, Bellanova? So I don’t see a problem there ether? We are also holding on young players like Esposito, Casadei, Carboni and now there are rummours we are trying to include buyback option to Pinamonti deal?

So I just think this anti Marotta movement is getting out of hand as people here are demanding his resignation or can’t give any gredit to his work at Inter, even after we have won trophys in this financial nightmare. We have a good team and good coach. I think biggest achievement from Marotta and managment is our current good mood and atmosphere in the club, even after hard financial times. It seems people here are taken it for granted?

I just don’t think that being a CEO of a big football club is a easy thing to do and we are lucky to have professional like Marotta in our side. But I’m small minority here and thats okay! I also know it’s a ”cool” thing to be pessimist and give critique. I know you get lot of likes by doing that

The delay in contract renewal apart from all else is a getting ridiculous now.

Skriniar and De Vrij are on their final years, yet the club appears to have wanted big money sales for them. But one of the main considerations in a transfer fee is how long the player has left in his contract.

Many here will say that Skriniar is loyal and will renew, but there is a cost to this!

Renewing Skriniar last season would not likely be the same as renewing his contract now. Since he has been tempted with PSG wage offering and has more bargaining power.

Same with Brozovic or Perisic the longer it’s delayed the more you pay to convince the player to stay.

So why keep on with this strategy. It’s not like Skriniar, De Vrij Perisic or brozovic will go to a club that can’t afford their current inter wages , they are most likely moving onto clubs that can afford current and more.
