he will chose a new contrect with more money :ROFLMAO:
Who would anyone in Europe offer him more than what he's currently earning?

I don't see any club except perhaps for the Arabs. Then maybe he prefers to stay and smile in their face while pocketing their millions.

hes welcome to come back, on 30% of his salary, good backup maybe for Acerbi.

I wonder how often he goes to sleep sad with his life decisions, or if he's happy with trading career success for money

I would never take him back. And I think some of you guys need to learn to move on. He made his decision, now he has to live with it.

He probably doesn't even want to come back, but regardless of it, he shouldn't have any place in this team, no matter how many issues we have in defence.

Yet another life lesson, if you've found your happy place, don't trade it for more money. Specially when the money wasn't 10-fold more or anything (less than 2x).

I wouldnt cut my nose off to spite my face - if we had a role for him, at a suitable salary, I'd be okay with him coming back. But I wouldnt bring him back for the sake of it, nor would I bring him back unless he was the most available/perfect answer to the problem

Again, this has nothing to do with footballing aspect. Betrayal shouldn't be forgiven. We aren't talking about a regular player here. Skriniar was the heart of this team for many years, he created a strong bond with the club and its fans, and in the end, that bite behind the back is just impossible to swallow for me.

I guess each one to his own, but I would never forgive betrayal, no matter what. Glad there are always options, just need to learn to move on.

I know. Thats my point.

Its a professional sport, its a commercial world, if we had a legitimate footballing need for Skriniar, I wouldnt sabotage the quality of the team just to spite him (ASSUMING that the squad harmony was also fine with him coming back).

Same way I have no beef with hiring Marotta, or someting like that.

Bolded part is more important than some people would realize. No idea what the locker room would think about that return.

But, quite academical discussion since hard to see Skriniar to drop his salary by over 50%, could see us offering him 4-5M, except Oaktree might just say no.
