Treating him this way after he fired his agent disgusts me. His loyalty needs to be repaid. Every rumor should be shut down by Marotta and anouncement of him being important to the squad should be said.

I'd be disgusted to see Skriniar sold.

Don't worry, maybe he will overreact at some point and we can safely hate him and want him gone.

So in your opinion Godin is better in agility and passing? Come on, Godin was especially against Getafe the worst passer of the team. And there where a lot of games where Godin was giving the ball away every time. De Vrij and Bastoni are the better passers in the team but all the other defenders aren't better than Skriniar.

Edit: yes I believe Godin to be more agile, as well as nimble. He has a smaller body and is able to control it more.
I know Skriniar isn't the best on the ball but the criticism some now have is exorbitant. Before Conte came Skriniar was seen as one of the best center-backs in the world. And now suddenly some members seem to want to say that he really can't do anything and is worse then any other defender we have. Yes you are right if you say he hasn't performed well this year but that doesn't mean he lost his football skills. (This isn't aimed on Lui but in general).
To clarify, if we had a 4-4-2 Skriniar would be the first name on the team sheet. His size, strength and command of the area is insanely good.

Passing is a secondary requirement, but still valuable. Skriniar has heavy feet and over hits alot of passes.

Are we back to a fanclub of players?

I'm sorry for Milan, he showed a lot od emotion to Inter, but at the end of the day if it's good of a club vs good of an individual player, no real fan of Inter should chose the latter.

The truth is, that Milan droped the ball for some time, and in 3 man defense he is a liability. Any top winger swallaws him with one quick move.

If we want to have a chance against the best teams jn Europe next season, he might have to leave.

I'm not saying that with any pleasure, but it is what it is. Conte is our coach now, for all we know he might be here for next 3, 4 years, and if we do not provide him with the players that suits him that will maximize the chance for him to win, hence for Inter to win, tell me what's the point?

The only people who would be against it are the ones who wants/predicts Conte to be gone soon. In that case, if there would be other coach lined up who plays with 4 men defense, then yes, but this is just a wish, not fact.

Also from Skri perspective, he might not want another year of learning and being rotated. He's very intense and has a winner's mentality, so he might agree that he could play elsewhere.

My criticism is purely tactical. Love the guy.

nobody is treating him badly. we are discussing on a forum what would be the best option for Inter. I think everybody here likes the guy.

We absolutely, positively, should NOT sell Skriniar unless an offer of 80+ million comes along and even then I would have to consider it.

At worst, he can be a backup at CB and RCB.

I also think there's a way to play him at CDM as a starter if we start Erikson some games. That would be much more balanced and having him in the middle of the field as opposed to the sides where he gets caught out with pace plays much more to his game.

We have to think beyond Conte, and Skriniar is future captain material.

We've apparently made progress in the Kumbulla deal and additionally agreed terms with the player. Seems like the writing is on the wall.

So the opinion is Godin is suddenly beating the pacy wingers, something Skriniar hasn't been able to do? D'Ambrosio playing as RWB has got at least something to do with these latest performances.

It's a damn shame we are selling him because nothing implies he COULDN'T get that RCB role. Godin got it. He's a true interista already, the contract negotiation thing and everything.

We are selling Skriniar because we can make huge plusvalenza out of him and coach doesn't use him at the moment. We plan to sign Kumbulla to be the next guy in the cycle.

Godin has characteristics allowing him to play rcb. Skriniar does not.

Cafe, don't spread propaganda now. Skriniar (if sold) will not be sold because of money, but because he is not good enough atm / does not fit Conte, take your pick. That's all there is to it. Great guy, but at the end of the day we are fans of Inter, not Skriniar.

If Conte makes him work the better, but if not and we decide to sell him, don't make an impression like we are sellling him because we need the money. That is not true.

Exactly. Isn't that a good thing?

Against this totally, any flaw Skriniar has, it is magnified in Godin. We can find any coach to botch the league and finish behind Juventus. Anyone on this forum can accomplish that for a decent wage, we are cash strapped and need to hold onto as much young talent as possible.

Yes, loyalty matters, but he was mediocre his last year with Spalletti and by all accounts, pretty fucking shit this year with Conte. If I don't do my job well two months, let alone two years in a row, guess what happens? Great defenders are great regardless of what system is used(De Vrij). I love Skriniar and his passion for the club but I think people are overhyping him due to one great year. With all that said, If all we are getting is fucking Ndombele then fuck no. Keep him and give him one last chance next year.

he demonstrated his commitment to Inter in a way we expected from Icardi. Now, if we sell him or even worse swap him for a mediocre player like Ndombele it's like spitting to his face. Even I sitting here thousands kms away from Milano will be holding my head down in shame

I think another reason why management may consider selling him is that in reality he began to decline the moment he got his eyes fixed, I don't know why it may be a coincidence but I remember that he stopped looking as dominating after that, and then came Conte and his 3-man defense and things got even worse.

I don't know, it's a hard pill to swallow, but he can't have another wasted season.

If we sell skriniar, so be it. I'm not happy but what can I do. If we swap him with fucking ndombele in a straight swap, it'll feel like years of progress on the market and squad building lost.

Cash strapped so we will put him on the bench and wait for conte to fuck off. Sounds like a reasonable plan.

There is no loyalty in professional football like the word is understood generally.

I any club would pay me the amount Inter is to Skriniar I would be a very "loyal" towards that club.

You can be paid millions. If someone offers you double, loyality starts to get questioned.
