I’ll have to disagree with you there. If you’re performing at United, city, chelsea or Liverpool your profile is lifted like crazy. It’s not a replacement for CL but it’s close.

True to an extent, but it is typically combined with CL.

But it's mostly for internal consumption. I don't think anyone really considered Joe Gomez a top defender outside of Liverpool fans and some PL fans for example.

PL fans and generally English speaking world is controlling the (football) internet so you see more about them of course and less about anyone else. If you check Spanish, German, French and Italian media they don't really follow this hype. There aren't a great deal of international websites in English, most are revovled around PL bias as well (Goal.com, espnfc etc)

3 as usual. Regardless he'll always be the fans' favourite non-Italian player. Gave it all and will give it all. Always positive and puts in a good shift. Hopefully he'll become our Cordoba (leadership-wise).

This guy certainly did not deserve to lose tonight what a performance from him, gave it his all and cheered so hard when he made important tackles, tried especially in first half to attack and defend, he's a credit to our team and I feel so bad for him tonight.
