After watching AC Milan now, on a number of occasions, only Leao and "Saladmaker" (thanks for the nickname @Stefan ) are really good IMHO. Loved how Inter played especially being equally physical with them. Ref did ok I guess save for the rabbit punch to Bastoni's ribs in the box and maybe missing a couple of Inter fouls that should have gone Milan's way tbh. Howver, the "Madame Butterfly " routines by Giroud and Tonali were beyond the pale and maybe that's why they weren't called. As for the "handball", I've given up trying to understand when it's called and when it's not.

Absolutely superb, i was confident going in to the game. Inter have better players in almost every position and have won a lot more big matches recently.

Sometimes we lack some cutting edge or composure but i can hardly remember a game under inzaghi against top opposition we were outclassed. Bayern aside..

Inzhagi deserves a lot of credit for this. He managed to somehow incorporate and invigorate players that were considered done.

Aside of our superb overall team performance, I also would single out Calabria as our helper. He was hilariously comical in defending Dzeko, not sure what he intended to achieve by blindly wrestling Dzeko without aiming the ball. It is the same defending style by Tomori when he was easily turned by Lautaro. The second goal also came from his side when he absentmindedly lost Dimarco's run. So glad we have the birth of il nuovo Abate just in time in UCL semifinal.

If you told me how I'd feel with a 2-0 win today before the game I'd just give you a big smile which would have meant everything.

But even our first Euroderby win vs Milan leaves a bittersweet feeling as we could have punished them real hard. On the other hand, after 15-20 minutes of bukkake you gotta take a foot off the pedal, as there was still a lot of football to be played. Could have had a 3rd on several occasions, could have had a PK on Bastoni, Milan could have had several players booked whereas I think only once this happened with our guys... Was expecting all subs as they came, considering Mkhtaryan's yellow, but thought Correa and Gagliardini would have come on 10 minutes after.

Hopefully Gosens is available in the next one. And I'd love to give D'Ambrosio a cap in the last minutes of the 2nd leg provided that the score allows it.

Really pleased with the mentality. Despite the alarming start of the second half where we gave up a couple of easy chances.


Key step for return game is to get an early goal. That could potentially kill the game, with the Meazza erupting, Milan having a hill to climb. Otherwise, it's still going to be a close game until someone scores, and then it's just fine margins.


Let's hope everyone is ready to go to the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL!

I loved the mentality from the start, it was on point, top-notch stuff.

What we need to still learn is the game management. Not to drop the focus and be ready to help the team mate at every situation.

Basically we conceded two scoring chances to Milan in the whole match and our best chance for 3rd goal was better than either of those (that Dzeko 1v1 after great Bastoni run).
