At this stage, nothing more would please me than to see Moratti sell this club.. He's done us alot of good for a short time, but we can't even think about the future because of him.. He's ruined this club.

Anything but this would do... We are shit, in mountains of debt, and did I mention that we suck?.. What exactly do you see in the future with Moratti at the helm? His time is up.. It's time he pass on the torch and put us all out of our misery.. 3 competent at worst coaches and Leonardo can not be the reason why we can't buy a win right now, or keep a clean sheet..

And you think that our problems would be solved with an douchebag as owner? :palm:

AngeloMario is waiting, and you could do the same, and show little respect and appreciation to our GRANDE Massimo.

Who the fuck is talking about a douchebag owner?.. I just want to support a club with a future, a club that when I ever have kids, and can afford it, can bring them to their stadium and watch, a club that looks good today, but will be amazing tomorrow. Because of Moratti, we looked good yesterday, but we aren't even sure of a tomorrow. Because of Massimo, we suck today, and we won't be any better in the future, because our tomorrow is even worse than that..

Waiting for what? Moratti's death or Inter's relegation? Moratti got respect when it was due, on Saturday May 22nd 2010... He deserves nothing but jeers afterward! For his actions since then have detested me!

Actually, what seems to me right now is that Moratti actually made only one correct decision throughout his presidential career - signing Mourinho. Which was something anybody would do in the same position Moratti was at that very moment. Elsewhere he proved to be awful, especially in terms of making business. Billion euros splashed in Inter. And how many CL titles/finals? C'mon, do you think Milan or Juve spent more at the same period of time? And I bet their revenue was much bigger than our.

In terms of consistency again Juve and Milan were much better than us. And what's more, after Calciopoli when Milan side got weaker and Inter side only stronger, it took the former ONE GODDAMN SEASON to win the CL. While Inter waited for A HALF-FUCKING-DECADE. And managed to do this only with the best coach in the world. Now I'm not praising Milan or Juve whose fault in Calciopoli is indisputable. I'm just pointing out that our team failed as a business project, and if Moratti had a more or less clear idea of what he was doing and now does, we'd have completely different figures in our budget and who knows, maybe we would be more lucky competitevely? Just think that Moratti won us the first Scudetto (onfield) only after Juventus was sent to Serie B and Milan got stripped of points and was more concentrated at CL, and you'll get my point.

Considering the players who played for our side throughout Moratti's "reign" and the trophies they'd eventually won, I'm quite doubtful about whether Moratti did a great job. He indeed brought a lot of stars into our club. But at the same time Juventus and Milan did CL winners out of players, the majority of which never became transfer goals of top clubs, and had dozens of those who were committed to their teams the way Zanetti has been throughout his years in our club. And one of these, being a club legend, now leads Juve to the place where they are supposed to be - the top of Serie A.

Grooming talents is again a weak point of our club and a strong point of our main rivals and the best European clubs. Our team's policy and play has always been a matter of great controversy, especially during Moratti. Because Inter has always had great potential but nonetheless constantly failed in almost all aspects. One great season (thanks to The Special One) is not worth all the cash our club has spent to win one single Treble. And as for the post-calciopoli and pre-Mourinho titles we had - We won the first Scudetto in court, the second without any competition, and the third in the last day. Not sure whether Mourinho really said that, but it is true anyway.

P.S. Inter is in my heart and I will never stop being an Interista. But it would be great if we did much better than we do now. There are always ways for improvement, and they should not be ignored. We should prevent stagnation of our team, seriously.

the idea of an u-19 squad playing a professional team in the second spanish division with players as old as 25

:palm:

pointless post, you might as well compare our u-14 to Man Utd XI.

Our youth team is pretty good, compared to any other European one. We're doing okay in the Viareggio this year (after winning it last year), in the semifinals of the Next Gen series (which admittedly doesnt include Real, or United, or Arsenal)...

Barca got beaten 3-0 by Ajax, who will now face Liverpool, while we have Marseille..

What is true is that Barca/Real spend 50-60m a season on their youth team combined (quote from Baggio), Inter spend about 10-15, its pretty impressive we are at all competitive.

Success in youth-competitions doesn't proove that much, because the team will not eventually consist of only youth-players. If the average level of the youth-team players is higher, it doesn't mean that all particular individuals in this team are much better. IMO the problem is that our talents are groomed without a particular cause. They are not groomed according to the club philosophy, basically because Inter doesn't have one. And there is neither experience nor any particular mechanism of integrating the young talents with the first-team.

This is the problem. Everyone sees what Barca has done in the last 10 years and they're like 'OMG THAT MUST BE THE ONLY WAY TO DO IT'.

Sure, I agree it does help, but look at the number of people who DONT make it at Barca, or are overinflated because they came through the Barca youth team. People like Soriano who wasted most of his career waiting for a chance, or Bojan who would have half the reputation he has now if it wasnt for being a barca product.

The success in youth team competitions means that our players competitively match their peer group. I would rather have a successful youth team than an unsuccessful one. Just because you win, doesnt mean you'll go on to all be world stars, but if you dont win, you have a much lower chance. Look in England, a lot of the teams that win the FA Youth Cup will go on to produce at least a couple of star players.

There is some correlation, its not huge, but doing well in tournaments is one of the easiest way for a youth player to get noted.

There always should some competition in order to filter the incoming youth, in Barca it is simply immense, just like in MU or Ajax. But look now at the number of home-grown players they have - it's huge. Even Juve have Marchisio, Chiellini and De Ceglie and also a number of other players that weren't groomed in their academies but came to the squad at a relatively young age, like Bonucci, Vidal, Estigarribia and Giaccherini. There is a number of meachnisms of nurturing young prospects, and surely Barca's is just one of many. The problem is that not only Inter cannot nurture own talents, but our scouting system is also really bad at finding prospects at other national academies.

Barca actually is the same. They can only make talents by signing them at the age of 9 and training them through the same stages of development. What really helps them is that the majority of youngsters play in B squads in highly-competitive leagues and gain a lot of playing experience without going to other clubs/countries and with the possibility to enter first-team when necessary.

Can't see how you can put Juve in the same level with Barca, they've actually bought a lot of shit players over the past few years, their mercatos have been hit and miss most of the time.
