Because 6th is acceptable?

i take it this is the first time Inter has ever finished outside of the top 4 so therefore we will never ever win another trophy ever again :eek:blivious:

That doesn't mean that we should simply settle for it...

I'm sure Juventus, Milan, Manchester United, Barcelona, Madrid have all finished outside the top 4 before.. and if they were to next season, would their fans not demand change from their club's owners?

We (along with the above mentioned clubs) have bounced back from an ordinary season before without having to change owners.

Note: the panic-stricken fans that demand sudden change after 1 sub-par season make up a minority.

I'm sure that most of you will remember that we have been in much worse positions during past seasons. As long as they try to get back on track, I can understand some wobbly years, as long as it does not become the rule, but rather stays the exception! :)

Lets get something clear...Massimo Moratti is Inter's #1 fan.
The man puts his money where his mouth is, Inter is not just some investment tool for him or a play thing to keep himself occupied for the next 5-6 years. He may have made mistakes in managing the club but hey which club has not gone through a trough??? I hate that people love the good times and can't deal with the bad. Everytime Abramovich shows a lack of interest in Chelsea, I can only imagine the flutter that goes through their fans' hearts and I am so so happy that I never have to worry about my club's owner leaving my beloved club high and dry. Like I said - MM is a fan first and an owner.

I would never imagen that Abramovich to be in the training session and watch his player, like MM does.

We only had 4 more wins than Atalanta! We only had 2 points more than Parma! Roma was terrible this year, and we are all of 2 points ahead of them! That means if one game we had drawn instead of won, we would be 8th! How people can say this is one bad season I don't know. Even when we won the treble we could have PLAYED better that year, winning late in games, scraping victories, it was fantastic to watch, but it was by no means dominant. The next year we were terrible, but Milan and Juventus weren't that strong so we looked alright.

Now this year all teams have strengthened, their youngsters of two years ago are starting to become stars. Whose development have we watched these last two years? Obi? Meh, he has become useful off the bench, but not shown any stand out ability beyond pace (which he doesn't combine with passing or crossing well at all). Santon? Sold. Balotelli? Sold. Ranocchia needs the right partner, or needs to play alongside defensive fullbacks, that much is abundantly clear.

The changes in coaches has not only hampered the development of what promising youth we may possibly have, such as Coutinho, it has also blinded people to the underlying problems of terrible management of finances, terrible transfer dealings, and a rapidly aging squad.

Shit needs to change fast. And its not because of 1 'bad' season!

Or you can look at it the other way. If we won 2 out of the 3 ridiculous losses to Novara and Lecce, we would have finished in 3rd.

So u prefer an owner who shows up to an Inter game once every couple of months ? I don't necessarily think MM interferes with how the squad trains..if that is what you are hinting at?

Which would still have been 3rd! 3rd! Behind Juve and Milan! We haven't reached 3rd, which is irrelevant, because as far as I know, our START OF SEASON expectations were to finish 1st. We have finished a long way back of what was expected. Yeah, 7 games in some people expected relegation, but before the season (or more specifically the transfer window closed) we thought we would be right up there challenging for a title.

Inter was terrible this year, and to have scraped third would have just caused us more problems in the future because we would have ANOTHER offseason that was about damage control, painting a rosy picture of the season past, and how 'well' it ended, rather than taking an objective look at how our season went, which in all honesty, was terrible. Terrible! We needed players that were on loan to bail us out! The players owned by Inter clearly don't give a shit any more, and that is what demands urgency, thats not something that is easily resolved.

As fans we can either pretend everything is OK until one day (inevitably) it is, or we can criticize and look for solutions, and put pressure on the club to deliver said solutions, which in my opinion is the role that fans of a struggling club like Inter should play.
