You're right, it was a very well done remake and that's partly because David Fincher directed, but the original was fantastic too so I never understood the point other than catering to people who are too stubborn or stupid to read subtitles.

Thankfully the Oldboy remake is being done by Spike Lee, so I'm pretty confident it will be almost as good as the original.

Kiwi, for Game of Thrones, better read the books, tells the story much better. It's not even one of the better series, altho I do agree that series are better than movies nowadays, just look at Boardwalk Empire

I am reading the books dude, it is true that the books has some extra spice to it and some characters get manipulated in the series (e.g stannis baratheon), but I stopped reading the books at the events of the red wedding as I don't wanna spoil the series, can't wait till season 4 comes out in april kay:

I haven't seen the trailer, but Spike Lee can direct great movies. Albeit he does lots of crap too. Stuff like Inside Man, 25th Hour, Malcolm X gives me hope.

Honestly all my hope is based on the movies I like that he done which is basically those three. Perhaps my optimism is misplaced.

If I'm honest the trailer was quite good, I could her most people in the cinema whispering they wanted to see it. But still, no need for a remake, because I really really loved this movie.

Just saw Dragonball Battle of Gods, I gotta say it was extremely disappointing.

I don't know what more can be done in the series, how much stronger can these people get? I would have loved for the next movie after DBZ in 20 years, to have some sort of character development, since kids during DBZ 90s era are grown up and would like more complex storylines.

But Goku seemed 10 times more childish, the Super Saiyan God state did not even have a new design, they just went on paint and coloured his hair purple.

This is turning into a proper kids show like it started out. It's sort of like when kids say I am 10 billion trillion times stronger than you, I am 10 universes combined strong. This was like that.

Instead of making the series into something with a more complex storyline and some character development, they just chose to make character's so strong to a point where it's just childish.

And the fight scenes weren't even that good. If there would be no complex storylines, at least make some great new designs, and great fight scenes.

It was very clear that almost no thought was put into this.

I love Dragonball Z, but quite a lot of the films were pretty bad, imo.. Battle of gods looks quite poor & Goku's super saiyan god form is lame lol

Waiting for an English dub to come out before I watch it tho :|

Some films were decent, the Broly saga, and some other ones, but this one it looks like they didn't even try.

They said Funimation ruined DB but this was 10x worse than GT.

GT wasn't too bad from the Baby saga and onwards, but before that it was dreadfully boring.

Also the movies weren't cannon. Most didn't really make sense in the sense that the characters strengths never seemed to match up with the DBZ or GT timeline.

I hated GT. I disliked the whole kid Goku thing, I also disliked that they dropped several characters that had been apart of the show since the beginning that I cared about. Where was Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha? Why did they make Gohan a complete pussy?

I always really wanted some one to make a wish on the dragon balls about being invincible to Saiyans. I would have loved seeing the smaller characters having to save earth. Alas they just came comic relief who showed up sporadically.

Just saw a korean movie called "The man from nowhere" was extremely badass, easily one of the best action movies I've ever saw (never been the guy for action movies tho).....this things beats the shit out of any fucking jason stattham movie you'll ever watch
