Sure..

A Clockwork Orange, is another masterpiece! Kubrick made this film in 1971, and it was wayyyyy head of it's time. Great performance from Malcolm McDowell. If you don't like watching rape, then don't watch the first 15 minutes.. it's my favourite movie.

Just checked the movie on imdb, m.mcdowell playing the maincast and his fictional name is Alex de Large...Interesting.

No way, I thought "Alex de Large" was just a nickname our very own resident Spanish, Alex, created for himself. :D Now I'm not so sure if his name is really Alex. :D

You guys haven't watched A Clockwork Orange before? Do see it, it's a great, great movie. :)

I just watched Pirates of the Caribbean 3 on Saturday. It's probably the weakest in the trilogy - a little too convoluted for my tastes.

Anyway, I'll be watching Zodiac this weekend. David Fincher never disappoints! :)

Ciao,
Tim

It indeed was. Just like Spiderman, the 3rd installment of the franchise failed its high expectation and left fans disappointed. The first Pirates was a great movie, and after that, it seems to me that they just want to milk more money out of it. By the way Tim, as far as I remember, you hadn't watched the first Pirates movie when we watched the second one, you caught up to it?

Yeah, I borrowed the DVD from a mate. :p

Has anybody seen Shrek 3 yet? It opens today, and I'm dying to see how this one pans out. Absolutely loved the first 2. :)

Ciao,
Tim

my fav. are either comedies or horror...but not sh!tty horror, proper horror and gruesome sh!t, quite like texas chainsaw massacre!(it is said it is based on a true story, this is bull shit, its based on Ed Gien(or something like that), who didn't kill anyone with a chainsaw, but he did wear a girls woohoo and baps over his weehee and chest...what the fvck?!:yuck: look it up on google:rules: it says there)
Has anyone seen the blair witch project 2?
I've seen the first...I may have the skidmarks on my pants to show you the evidence!!!

I turned 2nd one off the middle

I mean really who amongst us isnt down for a bit of ultra violence?

Kuberick is a genius but the book is still classy, those interested should definitely pick it up.

The first time I came across A Clockwork Orange was when clips of it was shown as part of my Media degree (film analysis course). Few years later I watched the movie to see what the fuss was about. And to be honest I now can realise why the movie got so much attention. Specially when you consider the time of its realise. The movie was too dark for its time and age - definitely one Kubrick’s best work.
I also enjoyed the soundtrack of the movie - work of Wendy Carlos

By the way, because you guys were talking about movies based on books, how is Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, movie? I think it looks like shit, to be honest, but the book is hillarious. So, I wonder :)..

I'll never grow tired of this.

If you're a big fan of the movie, it is an absolute crime not to read the book because a part of the Sicilian tradition mentioned in it was to keep your emotion to yourself; and so, not even an actor of Al Pacino's or Marlon Brando's caliber will be able to completely portray the character. Actually, wait, they were not supposed to portray those emotions. :| Whatever, just read it, it's an absolute joy.

Im pretty sure we could have gotten in on some ultra violence after the Roma game bro.

By the way Georgia I think Kt is secretly trying to tell us that she regrets that she got no bam bam on the trip. Could be wrong but I am usually pretty good at that kind of shit.

Hey, Vin Diesel is prolly the most underrated movie superstar of our times. My dream movie would be him teaming up with Steven Segal. Although they might have to make a new rating for a movie with those two in it.

"This movie is rated A for Fking AWESOME, in theaters everywhere July 17th, 20XX"

Khalifa I think I am going to have to drop out our rap collaboration once our first album hits the streets and instantly goes quadruple platinum. This movie needs to SERIOUSLY get made.
