I watched the AVATAR last week. AWESOME movie with outstanding graphics! Most of the scenes were unreal but they were looking so amazing! too much work on computer!

Wow! I mean just wow! Speaking of different tastes. With all due respect those would be my top 3 from the bottom. To me...

- Social Network; was just another movie which can be seen once. Nothing really special about it to be named as one of the year's best, in my opinion. More like a been there, done that sort of a movie.

- Black Swan; I can imagine many people will like it but it's all a question of personal taste. I'm sure there will be as many who will not like it.

- Machete; I'm still having trouble to figure out how De Niro could agree to do it. I mean folks are kind of used to see a lot of flops from him, but compared to the shit he has been doing in the past decade this was a all new low on a whole different level.

I love De Niro for his Godfather Part II, GoodFellas, Raging Bull & Casino but he is just getting outta control with his latest b-movie choices. He should be more picky like other heavyweights (Jack Nicholson, Pacino, etc.) & not say yes to everything.



Best movie should go to Inception in my opinion. A success both commercially & by critics. Strong story... the kind you didn't have the feeling you've seen already. Solid performances. It's fair enough to crown it the best picture of the year... not that the competition is making it a difficult job!

Same here, I kind of had to watch it and I was pleasantly surprised. Same thing with The Fighter actually, maybe I should be less cynical and stop listening to those who start sentences with "All this hollywood shit..."

I like Inception a lot. But another one that I loved, which hasn't been mentioned, is The Other Guys. Funniest movie in awhile. Will Ferrel & Mark Wahlberg tuna - tiger quarrel is a classic.

Only worth mentioning, deserved wins are: Christian Bale, Steve Buscemi, Boardwalk Empire & Al Pacino.

Best screenplay for Inception? seriously? the visual effects are great but the script... come on, its typical commercial movie and a copy of Paprika. Social Network was more interesting and complex imo.

Social Network was not an original screenplay, it was adapted from a book. Inception was original and took Christopher Nolan 9 years to develop. Screenplay is more than just dialogue, Inception was a great story...
