I know that you can argue who is right, let me just point out that I'm not a religious fanatic who neglect some of the sientific facts that do exist. as I have said I'm spiritual not religious that is two very different things.
Of course, I do know what's the difference, I simply chose the wrong word..Good that you're not a fanatic, I thought so anyway..;)

I where about to screw up my life before I became spirtual, simply because I was going in a direction with very little working possabilities, and where you had to be a lone the most of the time, because it was required by the study, if you wanted high grades, and for me who needs to be arround other people the most of the time, this was just a major problem.

I need to help other people or else I'm not in my best mood, I have known that for years, and the study I took could hardly help me achiving that goal, wheile this one can.
Apart from the experience you were talking about, this is probably the main reason why you took another step in your life..One could easily think/understand that this is actually the reason why you became spiritual in the first place, I sure know plenty of people who did likewise, joined the religion or just became spiritual cause they felt like standing infront of a big wall and couldn't move further..

oh yeah and just a final note ateists can also be described as religious, simply because they have chosen to belive in nothing, and we also have to remember, that the atheist belif has teksts which say what you have to belive in, the only difference between atheist belif and a religion is that it dosn't have a book (yet), the problem with atheisme is that it dosn't have an open door, it simply refuse to admit when there is something it can't explain, simply by saying: if it can't be sientific prooved then it dosn't exist.

And that is kinda stupid and narrow minded if you ask me, just as it is stupid that religious fanatics negglect sientific facts.
Hmm..First of all, I'm something between Agnostic and Atheist though I've always declared myself as the latter, never really cared about that..I don't consider myself as a member of any group, and specially don't feel restricted with some dogmas or something like that..

I actually believe in people, whether they're religious, spiritual or atheists it doesn't really matter to me..If they're ok and don't mean bad to the others, then I'm fine with it..The same is with nationalities, races etc..All that partitions are often the reason why everything bad happens in the first place, so I usually like to say for myself that I'm just a citizen of the World..;)

Ok, I went off topic here, just wanted to repeat that I wish you all the best in your new life and hope you'll stay as reasonable as you're now..:)

@Yuko
- Agnosticsm is somewhere between Atheism and Theism..It's a philosophy which doesn't negate the existance of God and transcedental for sure(what Atheism does), but don't follow the doctrine of any religion..Maybe the best word to describe it, is 'Religious scepticism'..

This thread is way outta topic.

Religion threads are the only threads I dont like to see and read on a football forum. But anyways, thats my point of view.

Mikkel, you should taste the fish in Trivandrum, I would have told you this before but then I thought you were a diehard vegetarian. The fish these people make with coconut curry is one of the reasons why I live to eat. Brings water to my mouth, even though I dont like other sea food.

Atheism has its own manifesto quite interesting but at the end of the day people who read and indocrinate these ideas are pure idiots. They make Darwins theory their God how pathetic.

I wouldn't say it's the main reason why I changed my faith, the main reason for it was still that experience that opened my eyes, and that I afterwards began to see if there where more in to it, which I found out that there where.

but this of cause made it easier for me to accept my faith, and the job I'm here to do.

Hmm..First of all, I'm something between Agnostic and Atheist though I've always declared myself as the latter, never really cared about that..I don't consider myself as a member of any group, and specially don't feel restricted with some dogmas or something like that..

for me it really doesn’t matter what fait they have, as long as they can give me a reasonable reason for why they have chose to have that fait.

I do tolerate every religion and every single religious person as long as they respect others. unfortunally that can hardly be said about the majority where I come from, they have that biased oppionion that people who have my fait have some sort of psygical illness, and that can become a seriously problem when some of them are doctors and psykiatrists. I have heard about people who was quit normal but just because they had some other skills where locked up in a psykiatrick ward.

and that is the reason why it sometimes can seem like there is a war between us and the rest of the society. But this is not something new for us since we have been persecuted since the Middle Ages.

so saying I took the easy way out is far from reality.

That's very easy, as over 9/10 of the world's population have the religion their ancestors "gave" them. Depends also on where and when you were born. Only in a few countries you can actually pick your religion. After the age of 15-20, most people just don't care and declare they believe in what they learned as kids. So that's reason enough...:rules:
