Lakers vs hawks ws probably the worst defensive game i ve seen in forever all star game level defense..

Lakers are not even making it past the play in games if they defend like this...

When undrafted rookie Austin Reaves is one of you best defenders and you are so called contender it's says everything.

And not bashing Reaves here,he is just another great pick (signing after the draft) by the Lakers after Kuzma,Caruso,THT...Love him!
I really like Zeke Nnaji from Denver. He looks deadly this season.
Not a massive fan of him but had some great games. Bones Hyland is young player from Nuggets I'm most interested in.

Mavs took a chance with two player that could prove to be okayish enough, one of them even a balk handler, so Luka and Brunson won't have to do everything themselves.

It's probably the best they could get for a player that is injured as much as Sensi

GSW been fucking up games but they still third. Altho they played without Curry, Dray and Klay against Nuggets and only lost by seven, so that shows how good they are overall.

Mavs been doing good since the trade, Dinwiddie is basically their second best player. Just beat the Jazz, looks like Mavs, Nuggets and Jazz are gonna fight for that no.3 spot since GSW been slipping.

East is still wild, Heat and 76s look great, Bucks will hit high gear soon, Bulls in decline.

I wouldn't say Bulls are in decline. They just have a tough schedule right now. Their good record is a result of beating most of the teams lower than 5-6 position both on West and East. Their record against the top teams of both divisions is pretty bad.

Meh dray will be back next week (according to him), i d still think they ll finish top 3....
Than again i guess it depends a lot on wether Kerr still wants to try out some stuff before playoffs or if they wanna finish as high as possible

Also looking forward to Nets vs philly tonight.

I love Jokic but he gets mad overrated because it's easy to get numbers in this era and there are basically no bigs and they don't even try to play through them anymore. There's a small resurgence but nothing special.

On purely a skill level he's not really superior to someone like Vlade Divac or Dino Radja, he just plays in a softer era and in an era where Europeans are entrusted more than before and sometimes even more than Americans. He's not even a player you'd see and shout that he's got great physique or anything, so it's (almost) all fundamentals.

The only European player that's really on top of the world in terms of all time greatness in skillset is Luka Doncic. But the impact is not the same as being an elite center, which is why the 90s were dominated by the greatest ever in Michael Jordan and the next in line were the bigs, until Grant Hill, Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant, plus all the other "Like [Air] Mike" wannabies emerged, usually without the fundamentals.

Id argue that Jokic has better court vision and is a better passer than any big man we ve seen in the NBA. The fact that he does not have a great physique and still dominates imho is more of compliment to his skill...
Again i hate to compare players in different areas but to say jokic is nothing speciall is a big freaking strech to me.

The "nothing special" part was relating to his immediate competition, not his own skillset. He developed in an era with an evident lack of bigs. Heck, Dwight Howard was compared with Shaq and I laughed that off as soon as I heard it. Now everyone's laughing that off. Jokic has no serious competition at center, that's what I meant. It's more than what Howard had, but it's still nothing worth of note.

An old Sabonis with no knees was similar to Jokic. Divac and Radja were fairly similar but they had much less chances to shine. Jokic reminds me more of Nikola Vujcic than the three guys I mentioned earlier who played in the NBA.

Giannis and Embiid being like...are we a joke to you?

I'm not gonna argue your position, I don't care about nostalgia. If Shaq and Hakeem were better than Jokić, that doesn't necessarly mean Jokić is overrated in today's basketball world. He is great now and that is all that matters.

He's great now. There's no argument against that. So stop comparing him with others who played in a different, much tougher era.

I wish we had even 5 more guys like Jokic again. Because we used to have 10+ ..

Ahh brehme...always finding a new ways to disregard NBA today and to talk nostalgia. And only truth is NBA today is better than ever before and if you are paying enough attention you will see that clearly. And it will be even better soon.
