I don't understand the people who are asking for big signings!

We are bound by FFP so it doesn't matter how much Thohir is willing to spend. We need a change in the system. We need smarter purchases, stadium and possibly better and more sponsors. We need to increase the cash flow. For that to happen, we need a change in management; new faces with better ideas.

I don't see that happening if the same people stay in management. What is the use of this change of ownership if MM, Branca and Ausillio keep their jobs?

FYI, Thohir's Mahaka Group is backed by Salim Group as several other prominent Indonesian businessmen. Not exactly sure whether they were involved in the deal, but their backing-up should be a guarantee for Thohir Group's financial power. Not only that actually, our nation economy is growing (despite wealth inequality), so we may be able to enjoy the support in foresseable future.

Nonetheless, there's a whole different question over the sustainability of their financial support, since there are only few rational owners who will throw money in a bottomless pit. Just the same reason why people here should pay respect to Moratti, regardless of being his supporters or haters. If not because of his 'irrationality', we would not have been an Inter fan in the first place.

Lastly, I have no idea whether the involved people read this message or not. But, I'll will tell you have a great expectation on you shoulders, not only from Indonesian people, but also any Inter fans in the whole world. It's time to walk the talk. Don't you dare to bring shame to all of us.

He won't be buying so expensive players, that's for sure.

And he won't be our president either, he becomes our OWNER, not president.

Can't see how Thohir is gonna make the club any bigger than how Moratti made it. He 'may' improve revenue a little more than the club is 'capable' of and bring a few players to improve the squad, but reading suggestions that he wants Inter to follow clubs like Arsenal and Bundesliga clubs makes me laugh. Unfortunately, Serie A doesn't provide a good enough platform for a club like Inter to achieve what Arsenal, Tottenham and Bundesliga clubs achieve.

Prepare yourself for cash injections Erick, this club isn't supported by a league that has a Billion dollar broadcasting deal (EPL and now Bundesliga) and a league that certainly isn't broadcast in as many countries as those two others.

Good luck... And you can start on a good foot with your venture at Inter by firstly throwing that Barca coffee cup on your desk away.

I was pretty optimistic about this deal, because it was clear Moratti's willingness to loosen the purse strings had severely diminished, in recent years.

Its clear, that to generate revenue, a business needs assets. Not generating enough revenue? Well, borrowing money to invest in assets is actually STANDARD PRACTICE (ensuring the money is spent wisely). In Inter's case, that means investing in the transfer market (or better yet, new stadium)!

"The most realistic goal for significant transfer investment at this stage appears to be 2016."

What a NIGHTMARE! Thohir, you better have something up your sleeve, because I already feel I have been sold a false bill of goods.

I wouldn't count on buying players as an asset. Unless your buying C.Ronaldo or Messi, it's simply not going to provide enough.
