I've heard for some time now that Massimo Moratti is building a stadium and it should be ready for 2014. I dont know how true it is but it would be great no?

Those rumours are alive since many years. We really need a new, own stadium and it will ome. But we can't say, when it will happen. Didn't we just extended our rental-contract for the San Siro?

It'll probably get pushed back another few months... or years. It is Italy after all ;)

Yeah Italy is not the best place in the world when we talk about politic or bureaucracy, but it seems that this time they said the truth about this law,it's so important for italian football.

So where are we building the new stadium? Does the city of Milan still have space? Why dont we do a Real Madrid/Arsenal by selling our training ground and buying something cheaper to finance the stadium?

The city can find spaces, there are a lot of industrial areas dismessed where they rebuild (just like in Via Parrucchetti, which is not so far from San Siro, only 1km,that was already mentioned as the favourite area to build the new Inter stadium).
About selling the training ground,I don't know if they have ever considered that possibility but it's not a bad idea.

It would be great to finally have our own stadium but I doubt it's being built yet, surely someone would have noticed something as big as a stadium appearing in or around Milano!?!

I hope that they don't take so long and they are true to their word and have the new law pass next month. This has been holding Italian Football back for quite a while and now this becomes a great opportunity to really help improve Italian football aswell as each club. Not to mention it can add to improving Italys economy.

A win-win situation in many ways. Don't fuck it up guys !

That is the least of our concerns when it comes to getting a new stadium built, tbh

Yea of course, but I just wanted to know HOW long it is. I know that building a stadium is a process which lasts many years, but if we have extended this contract till 2020, it would become a real concern, tbh.

Building a stadium doesn't really need a lot of time actually nowdays (Emirates was built in 2 years,Allianz almost 3). The longer part is surely (especially in Italy) the bureaucratic way, with this new law should be finally cut this problem of bureaucracy so everything will work easily.
Predicting now WHEN the new Inter Stadium will be built it's really hard,I think that even if the new law will pass soon in November we'll remain in San Siro until 2015 (for that year San Siro should be named as theatre of the Champions League final also).

Imho opinion three years are pretty long, especially due to we haven't got a sure project.
Thank you for the information that San Siro will be the place in which the final of the CL will be played in 2015, I didn't know that. Then it makes sense that we'll there for at least that period.

It's not sure at the moment,we are still candidate for that date but Uefa said that if San Siro will be renovated into 5 stars UEFA category we'll have it. One year ago Inter,Milan and Communal Council signed a deal of 50 million cash for San Siro renovation with the CL final objective (2015 will be also the year of Expo in Milano) link: http://www.fcinternews.it/?action=read&idnotizia=32658

A very interesting article in the GDS showing that 20% less supporters turn up to stadiums to watch the games while a 65% jump in Pay-tv.

Its time Inter and basically all the clubs follow Juventus in building a new stadium thats not too big (40 000-50 000 for clubs like Milan,Roma,Napoli etc) and NO GOD DAM RUNNING TRACKS AROUND THEM !

We'll see when this will happen first, about Fiorentina's stadium there's an idea of the Firenze's mayor to make the Franchi the stadium for National Team of Rugby (with Fiorentina building their own new stadia of course)
Maybe the Olimpico stadium could be used only for all Italia games (after all Olimpico is owned by CONI) and maybe the Coppa Italia finals.,just like Wembley and Stade de France are used only for National teams in England and France.

Because Germany the biggest country in Western Europe in terms of population and economy. They get all that sponsorship locally since on the international scene, they have a negligable fanbase.
