If clubs like Palermo can be financed for a new stadium then surely we aren't too far away from our own.

Losing and wasting time....it's always the same story when we talk about Communal Council and italian bureaucracy in Italy (especially in the south).
Udinese stadium will be completed in September 2014.

Ok, can somebody please tell me where Jubentus got its money from? This dickheads were playing in Serie B some time ago, but spending enormous sums for players and building a new stadium - while not playing in CL regular.

Is it because they are a stock company? Is it thanks to FIAT?

Oh, and btw: Think positive! When we will have our new stadium the ones of Jubentus and Udinese will be ruins again.

It is sad Siena went bankrupt and is in Serie D now because their stadium plans for an underground stadium were interesting.

However I'm sure the stadium wouldn't have been build even if they had survived their financial problems but I really like the idea. It is a bit like the new Corinthians stadium but it feels more like a part of its surrounding nature in a great way.

Yeah, that's cool as balls. But I can't imagine how it would be like after heavy rain.

So I read somewhere that Roma's project will be ~1.2 billion (or something like that) worth of a sexy stadium (300 million estimate) and metro stations, malls and lots of awesome shit.

So my question is... what's the difference?? Why is Rome so kind hearted with their club, while fucking Milano doesn't want us not to even build a stadium. I've not seen the disposal of the city, but if it is, from an economical perspective, an up for the city's structure, then why not let it happen??

Surely having successful teams in the city would be more beneficial in the long run

It's crazy to see all these stadium plans and yet Udinese and Juve were the only ones to get anything to happen

It is about the political system.

I saw a documentary about the mafia they for some months ago arrested in Rome. Nobody thought he existed but it turns out the former mayor in Rome and many of the other local politicians have been involved. Nevermind there was an old man who owns a couple of grocery stores and had bought a piece of land for more than 30 years ago and could now finally open a store at that land. It took the local council 30 years to approve this. As he said it may only take a few years if he did it like most do by bringing in money underneath the table but he was tired of this kind of system in Italy and therefore decided to do it the right way.

Italy is fucked.
