I’m team buy out Giuseppe Meazza and renovate at this point. It’s an historic ground and still one of the very best atmospheres in all of football. Renovating probably isn’t the better long-term financial investment but fuck it— it’s iconic. Buying the stadium, solidifying the structure and some minor renovations can’t cost much more than building an entirely new fancy stadium with plastic ornate bullshit. Let Meelan move out to the burbs with their knockoff Tottenham stadium.
Agree with you, but is it possible that we can buy GM, only for us, without ACM involved?

Not sure at all. But I’m pretty sure Milan are more determined to build a shitty plastic stadium than we are right now. It’s a unusual situation with the stadium owned by the city but so closely associated/ dependent on the clubs who play there. If both teams leave, it’s definitely an L for the city of Milan and San Siro neighborhood. They will have some incentive to not let that happen.

Milanisti are flipping 360* on RedBlack forum lol.
360° means turning a full circle and still facing the same direction

The current plan is buy out the entirety of the San Siro district, build an entirely new stadium (the Cathedral) in the car pack, and turning the current Meazza into a giant mall or something

It's probably not feasible financially. I mean building / renovating (properly) on our own. The payback time (the time after it starts to actually produce profits for the club) grows just too much. Buying the area will be apparently around 200m, building the new stadium or renovating is the fucker.

20 year deal with a decent interest rate from the city.... or we walk

we go fk you we taking our talents to Miami and in the US the tax payers build the stadiums for free so the billionaire owners dont move the team !

Yeah, if this was America, Moratti would have threatened to move the club to Pisa and gotten a free stadium out of it.
Thank fucking god it s not America or all our beloved serie a team would be in England....

I ve said it 100 times he solution is so obvious: us and bbilan or just us buy he san siro for a low amount we either renovate or build new in close proximity plus we or probably some big builder redevelopps the area... The city gets to collect taxes and does not end up with a district that has two stadiums that are historic so cant be torn down which leads to the whole districts re developpement being held back....

If only italian politicians were not that corrup we would have alrady moved into our new home years ago.... It s litreally the only solution that gives a win win to the clubs and the city...
Clubs move out of the city the city probably looses quite some hotel nights and it ends up with a san siro district that is really hard to redevelop.

Six months since I have checked this thread.

City of Milan and Sala realised the situation and has come to the party? I dont understand why this is so hard.

Sell the land to both clubs, allowing them to seek private funding to redevelop the area. Otherwise both clubs have to move on from this show and raise the middle finger to Sala and the City of Milan.

This is basically what is going to happen. The latest news was that clubs are now actively seeking the funding from the banks.

Latest statement from the mayor :yao:

“The good thing is that Inter and Milan are back together, and there’s no other way,” Sala claimed.

“Building a stadium costs more than a billion, and if the two ownerships don’t work together, it won’t happen.

“At this point, I hope I have defended the old but beloved San Siro.

“We’re moving towards a new stadium that will be built next to San Siro, which will be repurposed for something else.

“We need to finalize the sale of San Siro and the surrounding areas, hopefully by the summer.”
Inter will not back down as Oaktree Capital intends to carry out this project. That would be the American fund’s legacy at Inter.

Milan and Inter are expected to send their economic plans to build a new stadium in San Siro today, according to Milan Mayor Beppe Sala, and if the clubs’ bid is successful, construction work will likely begin in 2027 👷

This past October, the Italian Tax Office valued the stadium and the surrounding space at circa €200m.
“I hope the clubs will submit the offer and the economic plan today,” Sala told RTL 102.5 via Gazzetta.

“The law states that once we receive the offer, we must still issue a public tender, but it is clear that the premise will be an area dedicated to football. The law also allows for the possibility of a private negotiation. If the offer arrives today, we will examine it and report to the City Council. The tender will last about 30-45 days, and the goal is to sell the stadium and the surrounding areas to the teams before the summer holidays.

“Then the clubs will start building a new stadium next to the Meazza,” continued Sala.

It will take a few years, and once it is ready, they will redevelop the old stadium, which, in my opinion, is set to remain as we know it until 2030.”
According to Gazzetta, Milan and Inter plan to start building their new stadium in 2027 and complete it by 2030.
The stadium’s capacity should be approximately 71,500 seats, including 13,000 for corporate and hospitality areas, and will require an investment of over one billion euros. The new stadium is expected to be built in the area currently used as parking lots behind the Stadio Meazza west stand. The existing stadium would only begin to be partially dismantled once the new one is completed.
Now they talk about 2030 :yao:

What happened to the Chinese stadium? I signed up for this forum right when the news about the construction of our new stadium by some Chinese railway construction company came out. Are they not done yet?

Let the rumored things happen, please! I’m advocating for a stadium together with Milan for a long time, as this will continue to be our very own USP in the world of football at this level.

More like belt and road pulled out of football.....

Anyways am i the only one who finds it absolutely retarded o build another stadium next to fucken san siro? So that we make the current stadium a glorified concert venue with low return and tha will fucken lower the demand for the new stadium?
Seriously are we all this retarded? Just pay the couple 100 mios more to properly renovate especially if we are back together with bbilan...
