Not sure if this has been posted som where else but salvini after the derby said he ll do everything so that the meazza is not gonna be demolished and that he ll try to convince the lega to make it a priority. Now if this motherfucker and his party get involved in what already is a huge shit show then i guess we can add another 15 years of waiting time before we se construction start cause i do not belive for a second that they re gonna keep the meazza and let us build a new stadium at the same time it s gonna be one or the other.Ony way to speed this up is if elliot and suning pay of that bitch and his corrupt ass party.

Sesto San Giovanni would love to be on the map for being a home for two elite football clubs, well one for sure, the other went retarded lately.
Salvini and Sala can go fuck a turd then with their ancient stadium no one will want to have... And then it can collapse on their stupid heads

Ah and yeah there are more parties against the project than in favor I read... So...

I understand the history of Meazza and also how it's maybe the only recognized stadio of Italy in the outside world. But still, it simply won't work these days with that building. Salvini and Sala would have to compensate to Inter and Milan for us to keep staying at Meazza.

New detail from...
Project populous ftw, build it, build it!

It's covered in glass and the lighting represents and resembles the Duomo

Doesn’t really scream out that it’s Inter’s stadium does it!!

Would need to see more club personalities thrown into the design.

I'd still take the Meazza and renovate it as long as we can also get the rest of the land that the City is offering for the "new stadium" project. That's the best case scenario.

renovating a 1926 built stadium is not the best case scenario at all...the costs of doing so ...are too high so you go build something completely new and come out with a better outcome financially...costs of building and the gains in revenue later...

The government may very well pass a law to cite the stadium as "national heritage" or something. Just consider that Bergamo did that with one of the Atalanta curve so when they renovated the stadium they had to take that into account and not fuck with it.

So yeah, best case scenario is to renovate the Meazza. It's the only way to guarantee work being done and completed within 5 seasons. Anything else may take 10-20 years and the Italian political system is far to unstable to command a sound private project without state interference and/or blockades.

OFFICIAL - Stadium, here we are: projects revealed Thursday! "Live streaming, all details"

In an official note, the two companies announce the date of presentation of the two projects for the new stadium

of Redazione1908

"On 26 September AC Milan SpA (Milan) and FC Internazionale Milano SpA (Inter) will present the concept designs selected for the new stadium, along with plans for a major urban redevelopment project in the surrounding San Siro area".
In an official statement, the two companies announce the date of presentation of the two projects for the new stadium to be built near San Siro.
"The event - reads the note - marks the start of an open dialogue with the City, in line with the strong will of the clubs to involve local communities and their fans in this project.
Citizens and fans will be able to follow the presentation event live on the social and TV platforms of the Clubs, and in live streaming on the new website www.nuovostadiomilano.com which will contain all the contents on the entire project, allowing them to share the path taken.
The Clubs will continue to engage in an open and constructive way in comparison with the local institutions and with all the interested parties, continuing the process begun last July with the presentation to the Municipal Administration of the "Project of Economic Technical Feasibility" of the new Stadium for Milan and the related multifunctional district ».

Milan city mayor Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Sala has confirmed that if Inter and AC Milan are to follow through with plans to build a new stadium, there is zero chance that San Siro will remain.

“I think it would be wrong to leave San Siro standing if a new stadium is built. Imagine the sadness of an empty San Siro with all the attention being given to the other stadium a few hundred metres away. This is just not possible. For me the best solution is to work on San Siro but I cannot not listen to the teams,” he said in an interview with Calcio e Finanza.

He also spoke on the importance of public involvement in the proposed new stadium plans: “I am pleased that we will also move towards good transparency with respect to the public. Football and San Siro are such delicate issues that the public must be involved but the teams must decide.”

threaten to go to Sesto San Giovanni and then Sala and Scaroni can go fuckthemselves with nothing in their pocket...and having an old relic they can't milk anymore...basically having a minus with the cost of keeping the said relic ,well maintenence for what?!
Renovating is not a good idea...because you can't renovate something that old for modern needs ...talking about high revenue income
and if you do it might very well cost as much if not more than doing something completely new.

anyway the two clubs don't want to renovate the Meazza at all because they did their math homework and know the things for a long time now,the things I'm saying to you now...

They should stop making announcements of announcements to consider plans that may be announced for future announcements of planned announcements regarding announcing new stadium plans.

FFS, just roll out plans when it's signed & sealed and deliver a new stadium !

Not. Fuckin. Hard.

I like this one. Here is another pic. Just wow. We will nostalgically miss San Siro, but more like when you miss your old 2nd hand Honda after you buy a Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet.

Well, it looks very unique if nothing else.

Are we still going to share the new stadium with Milan?

I like that analogy. When is it my turn to upgrade to Mercedes?

So we re abandoning the meazza for a c class cabriolet? Thats like giving up your vintage Ferrari 250 gto for a fucking soules ugly piece of modern BS yes your gonna have less problems with the Mercedes and yes your gonna save money with your new car but you ll never get the same feeling you get when you turn on your 250 gto and hear it s motor roar.
Not that i have a problem with leaving the meazza but i sincerely hope that the car equivalent of our new stadium would be something better than a fucken C class cabriolet.

that all being said im pretty sure will win another CL before we ever get done with the new stadium, especially if those fucken politicians are already messing with the projects before they are presented.

This is a boring, bland design that is simply not imposing.

God awful renders... this is some 90s level shading... Anyway, generally I like the way they've covered the inner "Duomo" style construction with the outer glass shell. A pretty hip approach in architecture right now. Remember a project I recently saw for some Arab country and Formula 1 which was basically the same thing. Anyway, the firm, Populous at least has worked on tons of stadiums/arenas so they know what they're doing. Their last project was Tottenham's new stadium.
