Anyway the politician mafia will try to shut down any project that involves the demolition of the old fossil stadium because they are retarded...
Salvini, Sala...

Think about the seating number that if we take Milan/Juve/big CL matches out (70-80k), what is the average attendance? Probably close to 50k, definitely less than 60k. Few big matches skew the average up too much. Median attendance would be better stat than average attendance in this discussion.

What a nice point. :pazzini:

Aesthetically speaking, “The Cathedral” looks indeed monumental, a unique project and meaningful attempt to symbolise the city.
Almost too much, while “The Rings of Milano” is more standard but feels closer to San Siro (inside), judging by the rendition.
I get the two different ideas to preserve the old pitch (museum and park), but other details would be needed.

By the way, I noticed the poll and I don't know if it's a technical problem: where's the third option, “Altobelli”? I can't find it.

“I would chain myself to the stadium. Demolishing San Siro? Don't even mention that”.

“Let's meet outside the stadium, they will have to demolish us too. San Siro is football history, you can't touch it”.

“We'll bring down those who want to bring San Siro down”.

[Yesterday]

“Yes to the new stadium, but you can't demolish San Siro”.

“How can you think of demolishing a monument of Italian history? We're not just talking about football or Milano. It pains my heart.”

“When I talked about chaining myself to San Siro's fences, people wrote me and told me “We're coming with you”. They agree with me".

"Yes to the new stadium, no to demolishing San Siro”.

Forza Spillo, genuine man and hero of the two worlds.

And then they could make a mix of the two projects... Because nothing is set yet.
Or they could do fuck all since the city can say nope to it all.
Anyway
The Populous project is favorite for the stadium alone but Manica (the pitch at the old stadium ground ) is very liked as an idea.

ok now he is saying juve own stadium we still wont. so wont get 100% of food and beverage etc
Both us and Juve get the same deal - you build the stadium and operate it for 90 years and then the city takes over.

The land is theirs after all but you've invested those 1B+ Euro so you get to milk it for nine decades. Also, after almost a century it'll be time for a new stadium, like it is now with the Meazza, so...

This is from https://www.nuovostadiomilano.com/en/faq

As of today, the stadium, owned by the Municipality of Milan, is managed in concession to the two Clubs paying a lease and providing maintenance. FC Internazionale Milano and AC Milan are proposing a completely private-funded 1.2 billion Euro investment for the construction of the new Stadium and the multi-purpose district in a land-use rights concession regime for 90 years. Therefore, without needing any public investment, the city would have a much higher quality stadium and the regeneration of an underused area with a significant increase in the value of public assets. In addition, the development plan will generate further primary and secondary urbanization works for the benefit of the area. The two Clubs will also start paying a concession lease again once the private investment has been amortized.

By October, the Municipality of Milan will decide on the public interest of the Feasibility Project submitted by the clubs. If the proposal is deemed valuable for the Community, the Clubs shall draft a Final plan including all architectural features and including any potential addition and amendment as requested by the Public Administration. Within 120 days from the submission, the Administration will decide on the final plan.

Today, representatives of Inter and Milan presented the projects before the councillors. The strong perplexity on the part of all parties cannot go unnoticed.

MOVE TO SESTO.
Repeat : MOVE TO SESTO!
We can't waste any more time! #NuovoStadio

And
Mayor of Sesto who had already said he was available for something concrete

FB group Amala on the matter

I totally agree. Sesto is really close by. Fuck sala, he will go down in history as the mayor who lost the two football clubs, and millions of euros per year with them.

Just give them a time framed ultimatum. Which I’m sure they will, you don’t go into this without a plan b. The teams don’t have time to play politics, once they hit their marked dates they will leave Sala and his cronies to maintain San Siro by themselves. Surely we would get an even better deal with the Sesto people without all this reckless sentimentality.
