Sporting was "owning" us. They had the control, they had everything, but we had the brain and tactical approach. That's how we won.

Have you seen many Primavera matches? Your overall opinion so far of Stramaccioni?

I have seen only parts of matches before and ofcourse the final two days ago, and I liked what I saw against Ajax but don't want to judge on single game..

we got assraped by Sporting, but tactical discipline saw us through. They completely dominated, but we took our chance from a corner and it worked.

Reminiscient of Barca v Inter, to be honest.

I have seen only parts of matches before and ofcourse the final two days ago, and I liked what I saw against Ajax but don't want to judge on single game..

I was watching most of the NextGen games, but only few in the league. Those in the league were hard to be found on stream. But i watched 80% of the games in NextGen.

What i like about him is he changes formation/tactics according to his opponent. Ajax and especially Sporting were better, and have far more quality youngsters in the team, but Strama managed to pull out wonderful tactics in both games. Defend, everyone knows his place, and attack on counter. Mou like vs stronger teams, like Farca, Chel$ea, and so on...

He has used 4-3-2-1, 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-1-2 mostly. Some say he has used 4-4-1-1 as well, but haven't seen that , maybe on 1-2 occasions when it looked like it.

All in all, he has the potential, his attention to details is perfect. But, let's not kid ourselves, he is not ready for first team. Then again, neither is Boas, who although has one year experience, is also 3 years younger... I'd give Strama a chance if he proves he copes with the pressure well, and this job has one hell of a pressure. For this reminding 9 games, i want motivated Inter who can attack as well as defend, well put formation, with players on their natural positions. The rest, will come by itself, no need to win more than 5 games...

That's the point, no? :D That's what i like about him actually, and the fact he is close to the playres. :)

He is close to the players, and he can motivate them well. Of course, primavera isn't the same as first team, so we will see how he copes with the oldies.

Look the way he discussed his penalty takers with the players and how he encouraged them. That's a much positive point. After Crisetig scored the winner, he didn't find anyone but Stramaccioni. That shows that this man must have something in the primavera players.

Stramaccioni for senior team coach, anyone?

Perhaps thats the only way we can integrate some of their talents into the senior team, and get some success out of this youth based project that Inter have embarked on...

Looks like Moratti agreed :)

IMO, this is the best decision Inter have taken since Mourinho left.

Strama may have no senior club experience, but over the last 8 months he has transformed our primavera. He understands our youth, their strengths. More importantly, his tactics are very familiar to Inter - there are more synergies of Inter's current squad with his footballing philosophy, than with our previous 4 coaches.

Inter have embarked on a youth focused long term project, and specially with the way our financial situation is, we had no choice in this respect. There will not be many big transfers in for a while now, unless they are funded by selling some of our stars. In this environment, Inter need to get the best out of our investment in youth. And who can better integrate these talented kids into the senior team, than someone who led them to success in the first "youth champions league"? That success came with wins against some top academies of Europe, many of which (Sporting, Ajax) had more talent than our own.

I don't see this as a short term appointment, at least I hope it is not, for this has the potential to be the most long term appointment Inter have made since the hiring of Mancini. Stramaccioni is a brilliant tactician, we had heard so much about him when Inter hired him last summer, and so far he has more than delivered.

Kids like Bessa have the talent to make the senior team soon. The appointment of Stramaccioni can really work in his favour, as well as some of our other talents like Crisetig, Longo, Alborno, Spendlhofer, M'Baye, Duncan, etc.

I haven't been this excited about Inter since the treble, which now seems decades ago.

Who ever said that if Luc plays in Primavera, Primavera would be stronger than before?

yes, even though bessa was injured, livaja is with the first team, and they lost because the back up keeper had a brain fart, we should get rid of castaignos immediately

No, I didn't say that. Ofc I knew that it is about the team game. But, someone pointed it out like if Luc in the team, we would be much stronger. My point is Luc isn't the saint. He needs help by other players too.

i know what you meant, and the service in the game was terrible, but i know that some people would use this game as an excuse to justify their hate on a 19 year old

Apparently we're interested in sporting's defender Edgar.

Tipical of an italian team. You face the best primavera squad in terms of attacking power and all you can see is their best defender....

I want Chaby from Sporting.

I want Betinho. IMO he was along with Dongou of Barca and Fischer of Ajax, the most impressive player of NextGen.
