The Bengals were a bit of a suprise, but I personally expected them to be in the playoffs.

I don't like the Pats, but they'll probably make the playoffs next season too, since their division is one of the weakest.

LOL. Patriots making the playoffs b/c their division is weak?

Cmon give me a break.

THey are one of the best teams around. Team. Not players. Team and strategies.

don't underestimate Dolphins, they could be a surprise next season. and Jets can be a threat if they get some good players in the draft.

But still patriots should be able to get through if we avoid all those injuries that we have had this season, I just hope we get an easier schedule then this season, it was kind tough.

I 'm not going to say witch division is the weakest cause everything can be turned upside down. I'll wait until the draft is over.

but Colts is my favorite to become the biggest negative surprise. unless they can keep their current squad which I truly doubt will happen, because of their financial situation.

To be honest I think this was Manning's last chance to win a Superbowl, and they didn't even get anywhere near it.

Finally, the defense was solid, and the offense wasn't all about the Manning-Harrison duo. Yet, another deflation in the post-season and off they go to their summer vacations. Next year, either James and Wayne (maybe both) will leave, leaving the Colts with the same old offense: Manning throwing to Harrison. And that surely isn't enough for a Superbowl, so unless they can pull some expceptionally talented young guys out of the hat, I think Manning's gonna retire without winning a title, I feel sorry for him, he's such an exceptional talent.

How about my Jets hiring Eric Mangini? I think it's a brilliant move. Definately worth the risk because he has the knowledge, experience and seems to be an X's and O's type of coach which will get you far in this league.

Much better then all of the retreads that were left whom you already know your getting a coach that CAN'T get you to the big dance ala Mike Tice, Jim Haslett, etc.

I'm sorry but the Jets are going nowhere. This is from the perspective of a New Yorker too.

They have no cap room, have millions tied up in a QB with no arm, and need to resign key players of their defense including Abraham and Law. All while having no money and forcing them to renegoitate with key players such as star cetner Mawae.

THey are in rebuilding mode, sorry.

My picks for the Superbowl:

Steelers over the Broncos
Panthers over the Seahawks

I agree with the Panthers (umm, well that's not a suprise considering they're my no.1 team ;)), but IMO the Broncos will beat the Steelers _unless_ Jake Plummer has one if his "I screw up every play" days.

I would truly die if steelers wins the AFC final. I hope you guys are right about the panthers but Seahawks are a very good team especially at home.

my guts tells me that steelers will win the AFC final and Seahawks will win the NFC final. I just hope I'm wrong.

I'm way too good at guessing the outcome, but I just knew that broncos wasn't strong enough to beet Steelers, who are in an amazing form, you saw that they totally stopped Colts offence so it was a very easy prediction since broncos dos not have a near as good a offence as colts. And I knew Seahawks would win as well one of the reason was that Panthers where without their first and second choice running backs. and without a very good running back then your offence get way to predictable. And that was exactly what hap pend. besides those two finals shows how important it is NOT to make turnovers. Those two finals was some of the most boring I have seen for a very long time. I was a one sided affair.

Well with the Lions being so bloody crap year in year out this is the closest to a Superbowl Detroit will get for the forseeable future! :D :p :( :wallbang: Oh, well, at least we've got Jerome Bettis! ;) (*)

Pity abut the Panthers. I like them ever since the Super Bowl of 2 years ago.

(*) I lived near Detroit for a couple of years, hence my following of all 4 Motown teams. ;)

The SB is here...

And i cannot watch it....

It'll kick off exactly at midnight here, so it'll probably last till dawn, and I have an exam tomorrow. I'll record it though, and will watch it tomorrow, hoping some idiot at the university doesn't tell me the result...

Btw, I'm expecting a close encounter, with the Steelers winning by a TD.

I will be cheering for Seahawks today.

Edit: Halftime.

Seattle has obviously been the better side, but very dubious referee decisions has all gone to Pittsburghs way. Seattle scored legimate touchdown [that wasn´t a push!] which was disallowed and then Pittsburgh didn´t score a touchdown [Roethlisberger had the ball, but the ball wasn´t even on the line!] which was allowed. TD my ass!

Seattle will win...

Yeah it shouldn't have counted but even if it was disallowed Steelers would've still won. Solid D from Pittsburg and well deserved Superbowl winners.
