This is the barella we've been waiting for! Those glimpses over the years, we are actually seeing consistently. Been absolutely amazing recently. Keep this up and he's legit top 5 midfielder in the world.

Amazing turnaround since the Milan derby, where he was arguably the worst player on the pitch, and looked flat in the games leading up to it.

Goals aside, his personality on the pitch has transformed. He no longer gets tilted and starts whinging like a little bitch. I hope Brozovic and Lukaku follow his example when they return to the pitch.

Nicolo deserves most of the credit for pulling himself together, but I suspect Inzaghi and the locker-room leaders had a role this too.

He's been great.... But it's Juve time. If there is a team that can tilt him, it's Juve.

He can tilt Juve.

Has scored two times against Juve in his Inter career already.

Basically we both jinxed this game against Juve. He won't score against them, but he won't be tilted by them

For 90 minutes I wanted to punch him in the face. To be a leader passion is not enough. You do not gain the trust / respect of your team mates and motivate them to persevere by bitching every time things don't go your way. And the coupe de grace, he is responsible for the 1st conceded goal.

Young captains like odegaard and Bellingham have given him the blueprint on how to conduct yourself as a captain and leader. He needs to temper his emotions and just get on with it, play the game to win.

Yeah not a good game against Juve.

And you need to commit that foul 10/10, what the fuck really.

It doesn't require too much brain to realize that at least a tactical foul should be done in that occasion. Besides of that, even without that foul, he should have been able to defend better against Kostic's back. It is normally easier to defend against opponent's back than when he turns in front.

Sucks that fades away in matches like these.

Recent good form got to his head. Despite the fact he should've had an assist, the way he played against juve was textbook hubris. Too much swagger, all talk but no walk.

Good form doesn't impress me that much if you can't overcome difficult situations. I said as well during that period of him having great games that he needs to maintain this even when we are about to face these tough matches, if he wants to be a world class player. Same happened in many occasions under Conte as well.

It's another thing when you keep that grinta and determination when the tough keeps going. That is, when the great character hits.

Watched goal again. Looks like he misjudged Kostics pace, thought he'd catch up eventually but it just never happened.

@Il Drago looks like you were right. I've watched kostic (on and off) for 3-4 years, that's the best I've seen him play.
