 I thought this is him just being passionate? According to some folks here, he should keep being obnoxiously ‘passionate’ unless he costs us a game because of it, then we can tell him to stop afterwards. For me personally, I can’t stand whiners in any sport but here I am having to tolerate watching this talented goomba short fuse every game  he needs more 5 star games consistently to justify this behaviour and this year has been short of those. Hopefully he finds a way to manage himself.

Precisely, it's who he is. He's passionate, it's part of his game.

"Unless he costs us a game". Well, it's 5th year at Inter for him and he hasn't cost us a game yet with this "whining". AFTER it becomes an issue, I wouldn't be worried. Let him cook.

He is a hot head. Inzaghi shall explain him that he just fucks up the team when he is acting like that.

Love the guy, but I wouldnt have him in the first 5 for an Inter's captain. Lautaro, Darmian, Bastoni, Dimrco and even someone like Calhanoglu, Acerbi and De Vrij would be better for the role.

You know you have a pussy coach that subs players with yellow, especially if they get it for protesting. Limone red card paranoia belongs into believe it or not category. Barella should get yellows for fouls that stopped the counter of the opponent, not for whining. Unnecessary and stupid.

The only thing this cost us was a chance vs Liverpool 2 seasons ago when he got a meaningless red vs Real Madrid.

He cost us against Bologna too. He got a yellow for running his mouth, then backed out of a challenge which would have prevented their counterattack.

It's more about having a proper personality and maturity. The guy is part of the core in this team and is loved so much by the fans. He's not a youngster anymore. Dude is gonna be 27 soon and he can't just get away with this cuntish behaviour every here and then. The sooner he gets his shit together, the better.

This season he's been utter garbage in overall. I mean, best midfielder of the league is supposed to drag the team forward, take responsibility and also act like a father he is. So, it's not about what cost us because of his stupidity, but it's about showing good manners as a captain and also step up for the team when it matters the most.

Fantasy football, betting, video games and social media killed the sport's fans and replaced them with some mindless consumers. Often with the same mind and body.

I expect some of this stuff to stay within the match threads where people expect everything to go perfect otherwise someone's shit... but it's recurring. The irony is that the more marketed, more media friendly players, never had these issues (eg Lukaku first two seasons) even with glaring cases yet their teammates who outperformed them were constantly singled out for no reason.

People need to revise their expectations. And some may need to improve their understanding (not referring to you here Bes)

On Barella himself, he's actually been very good this season. Whenever he doesn't have to pamper for Dumfries weaknesses he's played well. He needs to be slotted on the left with Frattesi on his right spot for people to appreciate him more.

Yeah, and that wasn't whining. I don't think he has done that again.

On another football forum somebody said EURO 2020 was a fluke and that Italy doesn't really have a talented generation. To me this is the best generation since 2010, only a real striker and maybe a better RB is missing.

I write this here because some people say that Barella isn't even a top50 player in the world, which to me is ridiculous.

FIFpro world best for 2023 came out, Modrić is on the list, Barella and Odegaard aren't. The clear bias towards Real and Barca is mindbogglin'

Don't try to be generous by satisfying Sanchez ego and score the goal !

Well, it would have been canceled since there is the penalty but still.

He did the same thing (along with Mkhi) against Lecce a couple weeks ago, trying to set up Arnautovic for his first league goal with Inter rather than taking a better shot chance himself.

I'm extremely aware of the idea of trying to boost the confidence of your strikers by getting them on the score sheet, but you do that kind of stuff when you're in control of the game. Up 2-3 goals, etc., not when the game is still in the balance. If you can get them the ball in a better position, go ahead, but if you're in the better shooting position, it's not selfish to go for the goal yourself.

Some bad passes and decisions today I felt, but the 3 volley long balls to Carlos Augusto would've been key passes if it was Dimarco on the other end because the brazilian f*cked all the crosses up.
Also implicated again on the goal.
