We "should" be able to win the next 3 without barella but teams not clicking yet so its a huge loss. Need the rest of the guys to step up big time, especially mkhi since this means he's gonna be playing 90 all games now lol

He should try Frattesi as AM and Hakan and Zielinski behind them, but no way Limone would try something new. He will stick to same mid three position then it should be Mhiki Hakan and Zielinski in Barella position.

It's a learning process for Oaktree. Maybe they'll sell the club quicker

Udine & Torino are in front of us on the table so we aren't the convincing favourites.

That was tried by Conte with a lot of players as the AM and it never worked. Maybe Limone is right not to experiment with that at least. Only Gasperini is capable of implementing it properly it seems.

Frattesi as an attacking midfielder would be comical. He isn't intelligent enough for that position and his passing isn't good enough. I don't mind him playing up higher as a midfielder, as long as there's still someone else feeding balls for our attackers or getting responsibility in attacking department, but NOT Frattesi.

It looks like we not only have swallow losing the Derby, but we are also going to manage an injury to Barella that he picked up in the Derby. He has a right thigh strain. It has not yet been determined how long he will be out of action.
Time for Frattesi to step up. I really hope he finds his footing in our system and continuity in play during those 3 games. I just hope Barella will get back in full health after that injury and the nose operation.

For a midfielder whose best (and only) quality is scoring goals..but being forced to play deeper as he is not intelligent enough is so ironic. Then as your solution we need someone even higher up to feed balls, then we have only one in the middle easily penetrated.

Probably Frattesi chose his wrong position. One has the Icardi characteristic but chose to play the position where string passes is a must.

Hope the 75 mill offer isn’t true. That’s not enough to replace him

Nobody says Frattesi to sit only deeper, but he needs to drop down time to time, just to help to build up. Hanging whole match on the last defender doesn't help either.

Frattesi already played better in Udinese match. Against Torino it wasn't comparable since we played 70mins with 11v10.

Barella is going to be back for the Roma match, so we did pretty well without him (3 matches, 3 wins).

He can't do that. He just doesn't have the technical skills to help in build up. If you ask him to drop deep he will just be wasted. He is a lot more useful higher on the pitch.

You can't expect from players to do things they simply can't.

He did it partially vs Udinise. But, our biggest strength under Inzaghi is that the players are helping each other, and filling the gaps if someone rushes in attack. I've seen even Lautaro or Thuram to drop deep sometimes. It won't hurt Frattesi to do the same when it is required. I don't mean to be vice Hakan, but hanging all the time on the opposition's backline makes him predictable as well.

He’s an okay passer but not a register. He makes some good final balls and give and gos but he needs space in front of him to operate. If he can’t run downhill with the ball, he’s useless in build up and only useful to crash into the box.
