We're in an era of five substitutes per match. Immobile, Insigne, Barella, and Verratti get subbed off every match.feel like he is the most subbed-out player by Mancini in national team
Felt like he was the only guy playing 90 mins for Italy every NT break last year. Good that he comes off consistently.feel like he is the most subbed-out player by Mancini in national team
Strong disagree. Barella offers unique characteristics that Verratti and Jorginho don't; he runs well, he can man-mark, and he's capable of shooting from distance. If you play Pellegrini over him you're essentially committing to try and play tika-taka.The fact that he starts is more than enough. I see competition is high in the Italian ranks. Jorginho and Verratti are definitely a lock-in if they are fit. For the 3rd position, I would be very tempted to start Pellegrini over Barella. And of course, there are other midfielders too. Barella still needs to develop.
I like Pellegrini a lot, I would love to have him in our midfield next to Barella and Brozo but seems he’s committed to roma.Pellegrini over Barella, are you serious or just trolling? That's so fucked up
I don't mind that but my post was about having him over Barella.I like Pellegrini a lot, I would love to have him in our midfield next to Barella and Brozo but seems he’s committed to roma.
Yeah no I agree Barella > Pellegrini for Italy midfield.I don't mind that but my post was about having him over Barella.
Personally I'd like to see one of Castrovelli and Pessina playing as the other mezzala in stead of Veratti. Ideally it would be Castrovelli as he runs with the ball and is ready to take on defender one on one.
Barella, Veratti/Jorginho, Castrovelli.
Sensi can also take on Castrovelli position but he's got his injuries.
In memoriam @UniverseHow is Castrovelli doing at Fionretina? He could be a great option to add some flair to our midfield. Marota should keep an eye on him.
Kesie can be a nice back up for Barela but apparently he's going to PSG, maybe we can try for Veratti as he's nearing the end of his contract.
