He’s been shit for months, ever since people started calling him the best midfielder in Serie A or whatever.

Really needs to fuck off with all the complaining and gesticulating as well. Still got a long way to grow.

Exactly. He literally yells at everyone, yet he misses even worse.

That's how he learned at this club. Lukaku does the same in an inspiring way.

If you ask me, most of his games in the second half of the season was average or even less, maybe its because conte didn't gave him proper rest when he needed, but he definitely need to more focus on himself and stop with all his yelling and throwing his hands..

Hes hanging with brozovic too much. Being inconsistent and throwing his hands is Brozos thing.

To be fair, Brozo was the most consistent midfielder this season.

He has 3 years left of his contract. Well, the pay raise is totally deserved anyway.

Our costs just keeps going up when it comes to our core. Can't avoid that though.

Yeah, and it's pretty sustainable as long as we don't do more stuff like giving Vidal 6/7m a year.

On the other hand, Young and Kolarov are expected to leave. Both of them were earning 3m net each. So i think we aren't doing that bad in that area. Of course we have a long way to go.

Young and Kolarov have been mentioned everytime when the talk is about cutting the costs "well, these guys are leaving with their big contracts". The cost cutting of big salaries leaving is getting mitigated by these pay raises we are going to give to Bastoni, Lautaro, Barella and Brozovic like I've been saying for months. Add to the fact we need to replace these leaving players so the save might be quite minimal.

Exactly. We're not quite replacing Kolarov and Young with part-time waiters who earn $15 per hour. Though given the state of the clubs finances it can not be completely ruled out.

Kolarov and Yoiung can be condensed into a single position, IMHO, given Kolaroav's lack of game time.

Its like the same as H2 Vidal + Vecino + Sensi + Eriksen. You coulld take those 4 players and condense it to Eriksen + 1 other plyer. There were very few minues that Sensi + Vecino + Vidal actually shared on the pitch.

It's rumored we're replacing Young with Dimarco who earns only 500k. And if we replace Kolarov with Pirola or even Radu we would save from him as well.

yep exactly. I dunno if Dimarco will be the long term LWB or if we'll bring in Emerson to go ontop.

Cut out Dambro and Frogley as well, hell, evaluate Gravillon...

I want to get Zappa as part of Nainggolaan to Cagliari.

I think you guys are way too optimistic with the minute allocations. It happened to work last season with Bastoni, that he didn't have a usable backup but will it work next season too? Are we going to bank on that?

Pirola has played Serie B (won a starting spot there after half a season so at least there's that), so it would be quite a something to jump from there to Inter, the title-holders.

Cut out D'Ambrosio (who we just extended) and Ranocchia, to be replaced by Gravillon the Ligue 1 shitter? Zappa? Come on. Who's going to back up any of our defenders in this scenario? Dimarco alone?

Midfield thing I can give you that we can dump out two midfielders and be basically the same as last season, almost. But then again, our problem is still the depth (and was last season too). If we let Vidal and Vecino go, fine we stay with Barella+Brozo+Eriksen+Gagliardini+Sensi and then bring back Agoume perhaps? That's worse depth than last season.

I simply don't feel this over-optimistic narrative here with the cost-cutting. :D The renewals and thus payraises will mitigate any big salaries going out. Then if we replace outgoing players with shitters, then sure, we will end up saving salaries but our squad is not going to be better, or maybe even at the same level as last season.

Did we extend Dambro? I didnt think anything was official?

Our average quality is going to drop this season, without a doubt. But the point is to do it without impacting the first team too much. And, yeah, we might have to stomach. season where our bench is Dimarco, Pirola, etc.

Dont forget we will still have Darmian who has shown to be quite flexible.

Depth is gonna be worse next year. No two ways about it.

Yeah, and it's unfortunate but maybe necessary. It might just affect player like Lukaku if our overall quality does not go up, it goes down (not even stay the same). And to be honest, I wouldn't even worry if Lukaku wants out and we sell him for big money. We could build from there with part of that money.

There was a story that we've activated our oneway-option of extending D'Ambrosio's contract, while he has a counter-option to break that (new) contract if he gets a better offer elsewhere. I don't know more about that. Nothing official.

I guess everythings going to chnge with Inzaghi but with COnte I didnt think we'd extend Ambro - he's barely played in H2, limited to a few Eriksen-time minuets here and there. I dont mind him, but I guess if he stays he's rotation RWB LWB to Dimarco and maybe Emerson on RWB? I cant see a need to keep him + Dimarco + a LWB
