Don't have one.
We had small chances anyway, but anybody in the future who says he should be our new captain should be referred to this shithousery. His personality on and off the pitch is not captain material, and this red card just put a big fat stamp on it for me.

No one should be surprised by this, we all knew this was the probable outcome. Just makes the two legs versus Liverpool a little more difficult.

The silver lining here is he will learn from this, he will mature from this. It won't hurt anyone more than Barella not being on the pitch for what would be one of his biggest games he's ever been involved in. Will help sculpt him into the captain he is set to become. If we somehow manage to lose to Liverpool it will be a devastating blow for the player.

We all make mistakes, lets hope the team rallies around and play 10x harder in his absence.

Forza Barella, still loved.

Bad, bad start. Barella totally forgot he's the regista tonight. He kept making runs on the flank as usual and left a huge space in the middle. When the dusts are settled, go watch the replay in the first goal again. You'll see what I mean.

The issue is not just Brozo not being available. The issue is Barella wasn't there to receive any ball or cover the empty space!

I start to worry that Barella is a bit limited player.

One would say he has everything in abilities to cover regista position, but his thinking is one dimensional. He went for tackles in front of defense leaving huge gap behind him... unacceptable.
Many were pointing out to Gagliardini, but Gagliardini did nothing wrong. Barella did. He didn't adapt to his role today. Our defense was shaky thanks to him. If we have not conceded 2 goals that early, we would have conceded later.

He is still a great player, but a little bit overrated (like I've read he is the best CM in Serie A)

Barella is truly a mezzala, nothing more. If you are the DM (regista) you cannot run forward like that. At least if you have Gagliardini playing with you, who's a fucking looney.

Barella could be a decent regista under Conte because he was given certain instructions and he was staying behind. With Inzaghi giving so much freedom to his midfielders playing Barella as a DM is a suicide. Giving freedom to the players isn't always a good thing. It has its advantages and disadvantages.

There must be a balance. Give the players freedom on how to attack. But don't give them freedom on their positioning.

Conte was stubborn and his tactics were too predictable. Pass the ball to Lukaku. Either he'll lay it off to Hakimi or Lautaro will pick up scraps. This might work for one season but not long.

Inzaghi on the other hand has another problem. His players are all over the place. Alexis, Barella, and even De Vrij sometimes. Asking the player to stay within a 20m radius will help everyone conserve energy; and minimise this sort of mishap when someone is played out of position.

Barella is not a regista period. It is not about his mobility, it is about his passing and his vision. He simply doesn't have a skillset to recycle the possession to relieve pressure like Brozovic does. He is simply a box-to-box midfielder and he should never touch regista position again.

We need a vice Brozovic and Barella is not that, period.

When you are forced to play a player out of position you expect the rest of the team to bail you out. But many of our starting players started to drop form when we needed that.

Brozovic hasn't been the best of himself lately, but no one can do what he does on the pitch and that was pretty obvious from his absence last night.

This guy seems so off in last recent games, seems like our players have some hard mental problems...

Watching his stance on receiving the ball to blast long range shootings and the result coming from its remind me a bit of Guarin despite the difference on power level attached. We all know he is blessed with high vision, good flair, decent passing skill, and so on but his shooting skill is the primary issue he has to be dealt with, this is his missing puzzle piece for becoming a trully high reputation box to box midfielder.
