Its not that he does not stand up in the big games but there are certain big games where he becomes the main problem.

Recall how he clumsily gave away a penalty in the home game against Real in Conte's 2nd season very early on.That was so avoidable.He then got sent off last season for that petulant act and jeopardized the Liverpool game for us.In the first Milan derby last season he missed an open goal by having no calmness in his shot.

I think he is still a good player but he needs to be dropped and given a rough treatment to bring out the fire in his belly. We probably spoilt him with all the captain talk and of giving him an assured place in the starting lineup.

Also there are times when he loses the ball and does not track back or jogs back casually and a guy like Conte would have been shouting at him for that but i see Limone being too accepting of his primadonna attitude.I applaud Limone for taking him off but i know he will be amongst the first names on the sheet against Bayern.He definitely needs to be dropped to get a reaction out of him but we are too poverty stricken to have a good bench and that allows players to get complacent and Barella is probably the most complacent player in our team rn.
