Inter Xtra

@Inter_Xtra

🚨
The meeting between the new owners and the #Inter management was aimed at getting to know each other and understanding their respective needs. There was no specific mention of the transfer market, but the Oaktree executives confirmed their full confidence in the work of the managers and coach, complimenting them on the successes achieved. There is a willingness to improve.

To me it's the first worrying sign. Winning with younger players. They could turn around and say, we don't need Hakan, Asllani is young, and he can do the job for less salary.

Nothing indicates that. Don't take Gazzetta reporter's daily dump too literally.

Do you realize that we arent competitive enough with Asllani as a starter? Oaktree wants to sell us for profit in the long run and not make us worth less

I do. I hope Oaktree realizes that.

Oaktree’s objective is for #Inter to win the CL place again, but with a cheaper squad
This is the worst thing for them to say. If they are serious about this and of the mind that they can "boost" the club value this way, what will happen is a dip in valuation when they find out the hard way that they don't know what the fuck they are doing.

Well, good younger players cost a lot of money. Average young players won't win anything.

If they want to achieve something with young players, first what they should do would be sacking Limone and get Gasperini instead. Limone and young players, are you kiddin me??

That was what I feared the most when Oaktree take Inter under-control.

Unaltered wage bill, so basically no contract extension that includes payrise, unless there cuts elsewhere. But at least don’t seem like they are cutting it so at least that is something.

And younger players do seem like these sort of companies act much alike, what a surprise

You think they accept such imbalances on the account that means they have to constantly inject money into the undertaking. It won’t take long before that approach end up costing them more then the actual price they end up paying for the club.

The problem for inter is currently that it spend more then it can generate you can be absolute certain that Oaktree will fix that imbalance as that also improves its market value, but to do so mean expenses needed to be reduced and revenue needs to be increased.
Have you seen how the balance sheet has been constantly improving over the recent years? We're on the road to breaking even!

^I don't think we could sell Dumfries coz nobody is paying closed to his request 5m net.
Aston Villa UCL money says hello!

Summary of what I read about Oaktree Capital
  • are pushing to increase revenues
  • intend to finally resolve the new stadium issue
  • are planning to keep the same wage budget
  • have confirmed Inzaghi who will get extension
  • are ready to control the club for 3 years (but that's what you would say anyway, so you don't seem desperate to sell)
Seems to me that they will continue to let the directors continue their good work.

Reduce losses, which results in further raising the value of the club. Preparing for the big sale.

The problem has already been written multiple times is that the firm is still running in red, so continue on the roads equal they have to inject money into it. The question still remains to be seen if they are willing to do so. They aren’t Zhang so another approach will eventually see the light of day.

There is no value in taking GM, it won’t really be any cheaper to modernise especially now they decides to protect the damn thing. Everything you do have to be approved and go through lengthy Italian bureaucracy because of that.

Also the area that has been chosen has absolutely fine public transportation going there, so it’s not an issue. The locals already go there for numerous reasons, so let’s not dramatise and make it worse than it really is, many European cities have venues in the outskirts and it’s not an issue

We aren’t going to spend a dime that isn’t really coming in from sales, but yes it would likely cost nearing 150-200m to upgrade the team sufficiently and that is never going to happen

This has been spoken about in the ""New Stadium" Thread.

San Siro is closer to the CBD, and still is not supported by public transport and has left fans abandoned during some night games that have finished late. No government spending was made available for a stadium that was home to both AC and Inter Milan. So why is Rozzano even acceptable, this standard for City Planning.

In regards to the proposed stadium location for Rozzano;
- Confirmed public transport is not readily available

Any building permits would need to be approved for both anyway, either being a renovation for the San Siro or Greenfields Rozzano.

The difference and the reason why I think there is value in the San Siro, public transport is more mature than in Rozzano and City of Milan has hinted at a better deal suggesting you can work in commercial agreement pre-emptively.

I would assume giving the City exclusive rights to host events at minimum fee of X and atleast x amount of times in a year. rather than fighting out with Milans new stadium who host the next Beyonce concert because naturally this would be the San Siro .etc

I am sure Oaktree would review provide an assessment on both on multiple variables - growth, transport, commercial revenue .etc

That is not an investment in Oaktree's perspective. That's more like reckless spending. Return on investment is very sus.

Spending money on players doesn't guarantee returns. Imagine how long would it take to even make back that 220m, let alone make some profit out of it.
Nope, but it does give us a fighting chance to compete in all competitions - Serie A, Champions League, Club World Cup and Coppa Italia.

If I had to put a reason why we pissed our pants against Atletico I'd put it down to two reasons.

1. Lethargic, our core players played every minute of every game without any rest
2. Quality coming off the bench, out attacking options beside Lautaro and Thuram are bleak, Klassens should never wear an Inter Jersey and lucky he even played for the club.
