no, you cant. wasnt it lazio and salernitana who had that issue a few years ago? one club got placed into a blind trust?

Inter B wouldnt be about getting to Serie A. it'd be competing in Serie C/B and developing younger players. Same as Juve U23

I think B teams can't get promoted to Serie B. At least that was my impression.

I thought they could but could be wrong. That being said the level Juve etc are playing at isn't anywhere near!

Yeah. You're right. They have same system as in Spain. I confused it with Germany where they're excluded from top 2 divisions.

The winter transfer will be here in no time, hope reinforcements are on their way

Hopefully a B team means heavy investing in youth.

I don't buy that crap without further proof. To me this sounds like media now wants to picture Oaktee as these super cheap owners. "Surprised by the near 500k spent on Second Start party". Don't give me that crap. :D

Most probably but still, given how they're being cheap in transfer market strategy and everything else, it wouldn't be shocking whatever it has been reported in that tweet.

To be fair, we always suspected even as far back as the Moratti era that this place wasn't particularly strictly run. I don't mind something like this to try to bring more of an austerity mentality to people. Small splurges add up quickly

Honestly I don't blame them. This team has lost nearly 1 billion euros in the last 5 years. No one seems to hold any accountability for that.

There's a saying I love in venture capital and private equity - someone else's money.

This is also why I've said it'll be really hard for us to find new owners until we are closer to 0/profit.

Of course if you disagree you're welcome to buy the club, see poor financial results, and personally invest your own money in while the players have massive parties!

Don't get me wrong I'm not advocating for no celebrations, it's right to celebrate, but this club has always been a black hole of money with lavish bonuses paid to a squad that costs far more than the results justify

my team made my company 2 billion dollars.... 25% of the revenue of the company. I am allowed to take my team members out for a holiday dinner with a max of $40 per person :)

So yea lets talk about companies crazy holiday parties :) or companies being cheap with employees

This club is making 400M revenues. If these Americans come to tell club cannot have a proper Christmas party, they can fuck right off. :D

I'm totally blaming them.

400M revenue but 500M expenses.

Thats the thing

Its like in the UK when all the newspapers are like... omg the new NIC raise is so small, the supermarkets make billions

they dont. They make like, 50-100 whatever million, the billions is their revenue, most of them are on razor thin margains

the reality of football is tahat its razer thin margins, and squandering and excess costs our first team quality

Hey, who gives a shit about any of that?

We're talking about a Christmas party, not a new player who costs millions each year. That money going to Christmas party (or 2nd star celebration party) is a drop in the ocean in revenues AND costs. You can cut costs but not this fucken idiotic way of shaving off all the little things, all the nice things.

Ok, you (Oaktree) wants to save some club money, than pay from your pocket 500K. They have few tens of billions in aset and can not aford to pay for Christmas party? What a shame.

You aren't addressing 400 mil euro in debt by cancelling a Christmas party bro.

Don't have one.
Gds this morning saying we will finally have some sort of budget after several years of needing to sell to buy. It will be around 20-25 mil per player.

The worrying thing is it's eerily similar to milan strategy in terms of money and concentrating too much on younger players, but at least we don't have complete retards in our sporting department like they do. Hell, everything is better than having zero budget and looking for free transfers like an ultimate beggars. Hopefully marotta and co. can make it work...

Better than nothing! Even if we can just rejuvenate one first team spot per year that's already a big help

It's never too much for one of the oldest squads in the league. We are far away from reaching the "too much" point.
