IMO if we aren't getting a real big name Attackive Mid then 4get about anyone else. Either Totti, Aimar, Ronaldinho, Deco or no one at all...

But since we already have sufficient number of midfielders (Perhaps too much even!!!), hell no to Veron, or anybody.

10 years of FIFi definitely don't want us to get Veron... he doesn't seem to have performed to well in Chelsea, and he's not even holding a starting role... even Lampard is ahead in front of him... if we really want to get a playmaker, get one of the best in Totti, or Ronaldinho... Aimar and Deco could probably qualify too, but i just prefer Totti or Ronaldinho...

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFVeron isnt in the lineup for Chelsea because he is injured most of the time and Ranieri is known for tinkering...We definately dont need another player we cant use because of injury.Plus Lampard is not just ahead of Veron in Chelsea he is ahead of everyone...He might be the only player on that team to almost start every game,and i really dont blame Ranieri for that since he has been the best player for them where he is having a marvelous season...Just look at the number of goals and the quality he produces for them from midfiled.Most of his shots are from outside the area..

I´ve been away for couple of months and when I come back and read the old stuff I found this.
Is Carlos Alberto really ours? I would be magnificent.. I´ve been watching CL-games with my friends and this guy really has taken a huge place in our hearts. Although he has played just a few games, but he has been very entertaining. That´s what matters the most, in my mind
A few years in Porto and he´ll be something spectacular!!!

Call me crazy but Veron would have been a good transfer, had we didn't buy Stankovic. In fact, I'd rate him higher than Stankovic. But Deki is of course a good player and I'm happy with our current squad.
But if you have read the first few posts in this page where we were discussing about using a diamond midfield, Veron will definitely be a perfect replica to Milan's Pirlo. Veron has the vision and passing quality to be a defensive playmaker. He also has some defensive quality, albeit not that much.

One of the qualities that he lacks is defense. Actually, one of the reasons he failed with Argentina in WC2002 was the fact that his new role under Biesla involved defensive responsibilities. But i defintely agree that his passes were as good or even better than Pirlo's during his Lazio days.

Veron isn't the same Veron he was at Lazio. Sure there is a chance if we bought him he could go back to his former glories but why do we really need 2 buy him now especially after we bought Stankovic? and Karagounis...
