Yeah, and people ask why players sign for these teams....
Galatasaray really is one of the sides with the best atmosphere in Europe. Top 5 for sure.
Arguably:
Marseille
Galatasaray
Feyenoord
Red Star
Dortmund
then of course you have Besiktas, Ajax, Celtic, Partizan (when good), St-Etienne, somewhere in Greece (but not presently imo) and the Meazza by either Milano side but mostly on big days as it loses from its strength when not full. Real Madrid in the Bernabeu used to be included but now apart from the renovation, they don't actually have their ultras groups present so it's more like Barcelona as a tourist affair. From Spain I'd take Bilbao, Atletico, Sevilla, Betis and Valencia for sure at the top. The three main Portuguese sides also have solid atmosphere. In Italy there's also Napoli, the Genova sides, Roma, Lazio, Fiorentina, Verona and Atalanta, plus Lecce, Salernitana and Cagliari from the south and islands in Serie A. Torino and Bologna are currently lagging.
Some players, not at any moment in their career, just want to be part of such a situation. Most don't even know it until they live it. But having this kind of passion at the stadium typically means there's a lot of pressure outside of it. And players are professionals, so most would rather get a highly paid chill job in some English side where no one will care if they go out every day for drinks after losing to their arch rivals.
