puyol is great, but as central defender he is a bit overrated.
he is still a rb or right defender in 3 man defence player
but he will keep improving

Not Lampard, he is a great player. Whether with West Ham, England or with Chelsea, he proves to be one of the best midfielders in the world.

For me, I will have to say Terry. He is a great defender, but not as big as the media shows him to be. I still believe that a fit Woodgate is better than him!

I think he has become overrated in the past few years.
He was a monster about 3/4 years ago, but ever since Ronaldo has partnered him, he's farked up. Morientes made him look good.

I was fond of him before, but seeing his failure time after time in WC's and EC's has made me wonder if he was as big as the Spanish media shows him.

He is egoistic as well, I remember once a soccer magazine wanted to do a close up of him and the rest of the team, but he said he wants it to be him only!

Not sure about the Ronaldo/Morientes thing, maybe El Moro was a better partner to him than Ronnie. However, I have to say that El Moro does well without Raul. With Raul, I used to see him miss easy chances, however he was deadly without Raul in his Monaco stint.

zambrotta and kaka are not overrated

terry is too, he is great but chelski are defending with 11 players so terry doesnt have lot of job to do..

while lampard runs and have great shot but he cant take ball and make chelski attack, he isnt playmaker and he plays that at chelsea, and he doesnt do it it right

Cro: IMO Zambrotta is overrated because I hear all this about him being the best left back, when hes not, he is farking good but his skills are held back, he is so much better as a winger. He is overrated wrt his left back role.

Kaka is overrated, in the way that he was invincible in his first season, caught out a bit more in the second season. He is overrated by the media outside of Italy. Serie A fans know he is great but no Ronaldinho.

I agree that Zambrotta is one of the best left in the world, but third may be pushing it.

As for Kaka, I don't think he's really one of the best yet. He is good, he is young, and he is improving, and I think in a matter of a few seasons, he may be the next best attacking midfielder. But definitely not now.

I personally don't think that Raul is over-rated, Hamed. While it is unarguable that he has been a very pale shadow of his old self for the past 2 years, the Raul of old was truly a magnificent player who can turn the game in the space of seconds. About him being a primadonna as you mentioned, I'm not sure. To be honest, I always believe that he's a very humble guy. More like Owen rather than like Beckham in the sense that he prefers to shun the spotlight. His wife (Or is it former? ) is a real attention-seeker though. She was upset when the Beckhams moved to Madrid because all the attentions have been leeched by the Beckhams.

Raul has always remain a true bandiera for Real Madrid ever since he don the white shirt. A Real Madrid fan said it best for me, Raul is not a galactico, he's a Merengues. :star:

Kaka is overated. Even Brazilian fans say he's expendable in Selecao.

He had a very good 1st season but was pretty average from what I saw last season. He just feeds off the hard work the rest of the Bilan midfield does.

Kaka was extremely overrated the past season. He was crap for the most part, except for few moments of pure magic.

In the Confed cup, he was horrible. Go and see the Greece game, he was destroying all the Brazil moves. I hope Perreira acts like he used to, and bench him in favour of Juninho of Lyon.
