Is that a port or a remake?

I'm interested. More than ten years ago I loved this game.

Is this official tho?

The new Unreal Tournament is also free, we could also play that

It's Halo Online that these guys have heavily modded into Halo 3, all the way from player customization to legit maps. There's extra modes in it too like a zombie mode and others. It's a continuous project and they're always making it better.

It's a lot of fun. For someone who didn't have an Xbox360 I'm definitely getting my fix.

I was literally just thinking how great my GTX 580 has been in the 4 years I've had it since I bought it.

Guess what died last night.

How many in here plays Dota 2, Custom or ranked - Doesn't matter.

I've made a post about how to cleanse the RMM system. Give feedback if you have anything to add.
__
All of you have had a teammate that buys wrong items, fuck up teamfights and just do stupid things, these things go over..

But then occasionally you are paired with a guy that refuses to cooperate, flames, and just destroy the game on purpose, AKA game ruiners.
These guys aren't too frequent, but when you do meet them you will most likely lose/win depending wether he's your opponent or your ally.

It pains every player to use 20-60 minutes on a game when all the fun is withdrawn, because of one guy that just has to ruin the day for others. but perhaps worst of all, you lose MMR.

What could and should be done with these players?
I've read that some games ask/use their communites to be a part of the game to filter all hostile players from the friendly players. I believe CS-GO use a kind of “overwatch” system.

So why cannot Dota use a similar system?
Imagine some members of the community use two or more hours a week to filter all the gameruiners from the game.
Every players is given the option to report for “Game ruiner”. But here's the twist, every time you mark someone for this, you risk a penalty if it's a false one. But what if it's a true one ?
Then a “overwatch” will look into this, find some plays where he on purpose tries to ruin the game.

Okay! So the “Overwatch” now says it's a game ruiner, he marks four or more times where this person have done something to ruin it and sends it to another (second) “overwatch” to get his confirmation.
If it's good the player that ruined the game for others will serve a penalty. If it's false it get sent to a third “overwatch” to see wether or not this was a game ruiner.

TL;DR Players are given a fourth option on reporting people. If it's false you risk a penalty on your own. If it's good "Overwatches" will look into it.

First of all, Dendi as your Inter avatar? Great choice. That guy is just like Inter, our glory days are way over and the future looks fucking bleak.:cry:

Jokes aside, I'm quite an avid Dota 2 player here, 4.6k MMR in the most fucking trash region: South East Asia.

The overwatch system has been thrown around as an idea for years. I'm not sure about the CSGO community but I can completely understand why Valve doesn't want to implement such system in Dota 2. The community is just so motherfucking toxic. I have had friends who stopped playing just because of the flaming in-game, or friends who refused to learn the game because everyone just get on his back.

These cancerous community will simply result in a redundant and overwhelming work of an overwatch system, because those in the overwatch will most likely be cancerous as well and someone probably needs to audit them back! So what now, overwatch of the overwatches?

I really like the new RMM that forced random draft or Captains Mode though. CM has always been my preferred mode because everyone is more serious and tryhard. There is still the few fucked up people here and there but it is definitely much much much lesser. And also, those fuckers will still have to play their proper heroes anyways. The problem last time was because there are so many people queueing for Captains Mode, the queue gets ridiculously long, I have had to wait 15-20 minutes per CM game. And now, at most I only have to wait 5 minutes.

Give it a shot man

Thanks for the feedback - Yeah, got a fussy memory reading about something similar at reddit, so I just posted it on "True dota 2" which is a reddit site.
Dendi is a cool guy, first player to play Pudge in a quarterfinal during Ti2 ? Didn't find any cool pictures of Puppy, so I just went with Dendi.

Have experienced the same, I'm ranked between 4,3>4,8 depending who I get on team.
Recently had this Lina on my team http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2272106022
Gave Divine Rapier to Invoker on purpose :fffuuu:

So many toxic people in the game, and why not let the community clean it up by them self when Valve is incapable of doing it themselfs.

About the CM it's so fucked to give the highest MMR the captaincy.

I think it's fair tbh. It's a better way to decide than it being a race on who can click the "become a captain" button the fastest. I absolutely agree that there should be an option to relinquish the captaincy though.

This a 1000 times over.

Waiting for the nerfbat to hit Invoker, OD and Spectre.
I was a troll spammer, even before he was popular in 6.83. So I'm just waiting for the day he's buffed again. He doesn't have to be as OP as 6.83, just please not as fucking trash as he currently is.

Looks a big change since civ 5 which i liked bar the sub par multiplayer experience. Will probably look to get it during a sale.

Got into Europa Universalis 4 this year and can honestly say its my favourite games though i have always loved simulations/RTS games.

Played the tutorial campaign of EU4 but for some reason it didn't inspire me to play it again.

Then again, my laptop's been broken for weeks now and my priority is getting it fixed or getting a new one. Maybe once that happens I'll give it another go.

Civ6, is it better than 5, or just different?

Edit: any suggestions for a new laptop? I don't need to play the high-end stuff, but something like the games mentioned above should not be a struggle. Maybe in the £600-900 range? Or is that laughable?

In today's market PC performance correlates pretty well with pricing, so you basically get what you pay for. Or at least that's how I see it. I stopped reading reviews and contemplating on my buying decisions with weeks when it comes to tech. So, my point is, set your macimum budget and just go for it.

Civ 6 is very different and obviously better than 5. Tiles are more important, for example a wonder would need its own tile, or a District, which is something completely new - cities don't stack buildings anymore. Difficulty scales differently too. All leaders are new with exciting fresh abilities. You have a tech tree and a civic tree this time. The graphics are amazing as well. I could never stop, so it's best you look it up. It's been 6 years since Civ 5 so...
As for that laptop, the minimum to play this one in particular is Intel i3 2.5 Ghz or AMD Phenom II 2.6 Ghz or greater, with 4 Gigs of RAM & a graphic card of 1 GB & AMD 5570 or nVidia 450. Recommended is double those specs. I don't recommend buying a new one and use it for both gaming (even casual) and work/everyday pc routine, because it will complete its cycle much quicker, especially a windows one. Assuming you'll do it yourself, fix the one you have and use it for anything but games then buy a proper one (preferably a desktop) that you can play.

PC noob here in need of help! I've been using laptops for almost a decade now and frankly I'm sick of it so I would like to revert back to PCs as they are much more practical for work and gaming. I have 2 questions.

1. Is there a huge difference between an iMac and a Windows PC? From browsing the Internet over the years casually I could tell that a PC is more efficient for the purposes I desire, mainly gaming, and by gaming I mean Shooter games such as CSGO, BF and the like, I could even try playing mainstream games like Withcher 3 etc on a PC as I hear that graphics are a lot better and smoother on a PC, #MasterRace. Anyway, is it better to go the Windows route when taking into account games? Because as far as work goes, and by that I mean Microsoft Work, PowerPoint etc, I'm sure both the PC and iMac are sufficient, right? I also am under the impression that an iMac is good for designers or programmers and I don't fall into that category whatsoever.

2. Assuming that a PC is the way to go, how in the hell do I buy one? I am aware that assembling parts is the best method but for a noob like me it would be extremely unfamiliar and annoying to look up things I have no clue about. That is one of the big advantages of an iMac as I don't need to know computer parts like motherboards, graphic cards and the like. Another factor is the cost of the parts and how expensive are they? I don't need a super PC, just something that is good enough to play out shooter games (or any game in general) like the ones I mentioned before as best as possible.

1. MacOS, which Apple computers use is the worst choice you can make for a gaming platform. Only a handful of games are available, on the top of my mind - Blizzard stuff. Stick to good 'ol Windows for that. For work, go with iMac - more reliable.

2. Don't bother to assemble your configuration yourself, just buy a preassembled comp. They tend to label them "work PC", "game PC", etc. Just set a budget and go for it. In today's market there's no way you don't get what you pay for, so money is the deciding factor when shopping for electronics. At least that's my philosophy. Otherwise, if you insist on doing the assembling yourself, out of sheer curiosity, just visit some hardware forum like Tom's Hardware, for example, or a local one (in my case hardware.bg), and create a thread there with your budget and general preferences. They'll help you out, as best as they can.

Anyhow, assembling the parts yourself is pretty easy if you have patience and you're able to read
smile2.gif
. Honestly though, I wouldn't bother. It's not like hardware stores make money off of you for assembling their preassembled PCs, so you can only waste time and get frustrated if you're not a very patient guy.
