Who do you (realistically) want to coach Inter next season?

I don't know who the next manager will be but I know that we need 14 new players and it's more likely that we'll need 17 by the time the next guy comes rather than 11.

3-man defence is used more and more these days, specially in Serie A. And after this season, this team has played 4 seasons with 3-man defence.

I'd say we stick to that if there are coaches available for that. And Juric might be since he was in fights (literally  ) with his club already this summer.

Mostly used by bottom feeder EPL clubs and farmer league Serie A clubs. And wherever Conte happens to be at the time. We're going to have potentialy massive squad turnover with so many players out of contract so if there's ever a time to abandon it, it's now.

Switching to 4-3-3 doesn't need an overhaul. We mostly need wingers and backups for CB and MF in the summer. If necessary, we can even switch to 4-3-1-2 right about now. Skirniar and Bastoni as CBs, Dumfries (Bellanouva-Darmian) as RBs, Gosens (Dimarco-Darmian) as LBs, Midfield the same as it is, with Mkhi, Correa or Hakan behind the 2 strikers. But if we switch back to the lone striker next season, Lautaro can take that spot with Thuram and Satriano as his backups. Maybe even Correa if we fail to get rid of him.

Surely you mean Correa preferably on the bench planning BBQ recipes?

But yeah, maybe a more physical midfielder, a few quicker players in the right positions, and you'd be able to go to another formation pretty easily. Can also stick to attempting to play good football and press high with these players.

The bottom line (because I said so) from a technical point of view is that it seems like we currently have a squad that has players taped together to fit how Inzaghi wants to play. There isn't a Perisic who can stick the pieces together and fill the holes with individual quality.

We couldn't play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Solid wingers are the most expensive players by position I'm pretty sure. Even the shitters go for 20m+
I am pretty certain quality forwards are more expensive and also harder to find but let's say for the sake of the argument you're right. You don't need to have 4 solid wingers. Look at Milan for example. They have a great one in Leao but rest are players like Rebic, Salami guy and Messias.

But i agree it would be easier to move from 3-5-2 to diamond than a system with wingers.

Either way we're going to have a squad overhaul in the summer no matter how we choose to play when we have so many expiring contracts. The current group of players has reached its limit. They can't take you further. You need reinforcements.

Don't let the expiring contracts fool you, we're not going to go out and sign 15 new players to overhaul the squad. Most of these fucks will be renewed because it's obviously cheaper to extend players on lower wages than it is to go out and sign good replacements.

I expect Gagliardini, Handanovic, Dzeko, D'Ambrosio, Darmian, Acerbi, probably even De Vrij and Lukaku to all be here next season - one year older and having declined even further than they currently are.

Came here hoping one of you had spotted a gold plated solution to make it all better and found nothing but even more doom.

They're so focused on Serie A and superiority of Italian coaches that i firmly believe if they decide to part ways with Inzaghi they will go for Ranieri because "he knows the league and they can't take risks".
