Should have just given the job to a former Inter legend. Maybe Materazzi.

Since we're so keen on getting interchangeable Italian nobodies, I'd prefer former Inter player Mandorlini over Pioli. Not that having played for Inter gives him any more skills, but at least we're talking about somebody who has seen some shit at this crazy environment and is already accostumed to taking orders from people that are mental. Materazzi would fall in the same category.

I would take Zola over Pioli.. At least we can blame Zola being shit on him not being a real coach.. Pioli won't have an excuse..

" Why play twenty passes if you can score in five? " to paraphrase Marcelino. I'm tired of impotent possession football, we're not Barca, few are.
If he really said that I'm totally in love with this guy. Klopp style of football all the way - purposeful and concise.

And now we chose Pioli, who is obviously the shittier choice?! Seriously? Why? I mean, what makes you make the shittier choice?

Spoiler alert - Chinese seem to be fucking incompetent and delusional much more than Moratti ever was or aspired to be. I'll even go as far as saying that they'll probably sell their toy in a few years cause they have no idea how to use it and it won't be just a "year zero" for us.

And this guy Kia - we're fucked. It's only the beginning guys. If he has even 5% of the power we think he has then, it'll only be getting worse and worse from now on.

Yeah, better an ex-Intersita than an ex-Juventino, such as Pioli. That's for sure. :yao:

I know Marcelino is the "exotic" choice here and most of us would like him , but Pioli is no slouch. His Lazio was no slouch anyway.Lotito promised him investment only if they beat Bayer in the qualifier of the Ucl.Many Lazio fans blamed the mgmt for not ensuring they had a stronger squad to qualify and not Pioli per say.Knowing the Serie A is a massive positive for Pioli.

Yes Pioli is not ideal but getting Lazio a Ucl spot is a big deal. They were certainly not expected to finish 3rd.It is a big achievement that is not getting its due recognition by some here.

Well, that's seem goes to our incompetent management, I guess.

But we should look to the bright side, consider ElDuccio getting his wish,
if Pioli failed, we can curse and request ElDuccio getting banned.
:troll:

Why not, at last i can try to forget Inter for some months:yao:

Let me put it in another perspective. Lazio is now 6th team as a market value. Probably 2-3 years ago when we were in big shit and Papito Berlusconi chanced the coaches like condoms, probably Lazio was even higher.
Lazio under Lolito is one of the most stables clubs. They don't reshape the roster too much every year. They buy what and when they need and don't sell easily players. Remember how long did it take to buy Hernanes and Candreva. Both 29 years old.
So, if you are 5.th or 6.th biggest club, stable and no major injuries and a bit of luck, how much is the probability that you could Limburg the ladder to the 3.rd place. Every year is one of the favorites who underperformed.

I don't want to take Pioli what is his. 3rd place with Lazio is an excellent result. But maybe not so big as some here make it be.

Then i tell you an other perspective: What should Pioli do better with shit Lazio? Wining scudetto? He even was second for some week, you cant ask for more. Lazio is a shit team specialy in this 3-4 years.

He is not mediocre but also not a top coach of course.

I'm not convinced. But like I said earlier, he can only surprise many of us.

Just play the good players and make them give a damn. No more Eder, Biabiany, Melo, Rano, Nagatomo on the pitch ever.

Not really, but considering he massively failed the year after the third spot doesn't give much hope. Calling Lazio a shit team yet they have players like F.Anderson, Keita, De Vrij, Marchetti, Biglia. They're not great, but certainly not shit. They should compete with Fiorentina for the 4-5-6th spots with their squads.

Lazio is not a shit team. It was in the last 3-4 years the 6.th or 5.th team as a market value. If you don't fuck up but other 2 " valuable" teams screwed up, it's a good possibility you finish 3.rd.
It's not he was third with Bologna

Yeah, and the game before that Eder did less in 80 mins than his sub Perisic. Eder is quantity, not quality.

for better or for worse, they made their choice. at least he's an actual coach. can't believe i have to say this, buy seeing as we risked zola, that's a good starting point.

come on, stefano, that's the chance of a lifetime and you know there won't be a second one: surprise us all and lead Inter to the top. :)

Pioli is a very normal coach tbh,not necessary in a bad way,he doesn't create big negative waves like a Mancini or Mazzarri when he doesn't get what he wants... perfect for our mgmt
Could say he is a yes man coach
Not necessarily a bad thing now
Knows all the teams in the league too
I don't know why he was fired at Lazio tho,he got them to 3rd place, that is not bad for a Lazio in this Lotito saving money days...
He apparently doesn't like Candreva much tho...haha,let's see how that will go

Yes, probably this is the right caracterisation. He is a normal coach.
But Marcelino is a good coach. Not the upper echelon like Pepe, Mou or Klopp. In the next category with Tuchel, Pochettino.

What is ironic! When Valencia fired their coach, I was pretty sure they will go after Marcelino. But they hired Prandelli. Would they have hired Matcelino, probably Prandelli would have been our next coach. And by the way, it's much better than Pioli.
