Who do you (realistically) want to coach Inter next season?

We would have been zcudetto contenders with a gagliardini replacement. This squad isn't miles away from success.

Tell that to Conte who wants to get rid of:
Skriniar
Brozovic
Godin
Eriksen
Asamoah
Vecino

before he even considers that Gagliardini (and Valero) need to be on their way out.

If I ran a successful 3-5-2, those players would be the first to go. Eriksen is the only player that can make a case to stay.

I've no beef with wanting to get rid of Broz, Godin, Asamoah, Vecino. I have some issue with Skriniar - more emotive than tactical, to be honest, but I'd really like to see Skriniar get another season to try to adapt to a back 3 (or, ideally, go back to a back 4).

If we have a new coach, there is no chance Skriniar leaves.

Allegri should be first choice hands down. Should also bode well for Skriniar and Eriksen who would probably be starters again. Sick of Gags playing over Eriksen :palm:

I can see what Allegri would do with our current squad.

Eriksen (Perisic) - Lautaro (Sanchez) - Lukaku (Candreva)
Sensi (Gagliardini) - Tonali (Brozovic) - Barella (Vecino)
Bastoni (Young) - De Vrij (Ranocchia) - Godin (Skriniar) - Hakimi (D'Ambrosio)
Handanovic

The formation would vary between a 442, 433, and 4312. Like it could be Eriksen behind LuLa, or at times more of a winger oriented 433 with Perisic (and occasionally Candreva). Lukaku won't play as a winger but his role would vary, in terms of how much they want him to drift on the right side. The formation is irrelevant, and the roles would depend based on the game. I would also like to see Eriksen and Sensi combining on the left side, with both having the potential to cut in and shoot, do 1-2s with Lautaro, and also create space for Bastoni to deliver his crosses. Hakimi of course gets a free run on the right side.

We've seen both the Madrid clubs employ such strategies, with a 4-man midfield without pure wingers. Isco plays that floating role, which Eriksen or Sensi could for us.

I do like what I see above. Of course, it has to have other midfielders instead of Gagliardini and Vecino.

Spalletti has still a contract. Just bring him back and save some money.
Let's see what he can do with this team.

I don't get why is taking so long to get rid of Conte, he should have been long gone already but apparently the meeting isn't even tomorrow but on Tuesday, that's ridiculous considering how short the pre-season is this year.

Its really not up to the management as it would be stupid to sack him and have to give him 24m (net), its all up to him whether he's staying with us or not next season. I just hope that our management has some spine and does not bend down to his unreasonable requests.

Di Marzio said the exact opposite last night. That a divorce between Inter and Conte is the most likely outcome, that Inter aren't going to satisfy Conte demands and the only thing that remains to be seen is the terms of the divorce. He also said Allegri has given his word to Marotta he's going to wait for Inter decision even if he receives an offer from PSG.

Apparently we also have an 8 million contract ready for him. My question is how good is allegri with youngsters?

If, and I stress if (I hope it won't happen this season) Conte leaves then Allegri makes sense to take over without a huge risk of falling again behind jube. He has experience and I think it will still remain us as favourites to overlap jube. Add on top of that that Allegri worked with jube fairly recently, so he knows all the weakeness of almost their whole squad, which should be very usefull in our head to head games.

Allegri plays with 4 at the back which would mean Skriniar immidietly becomes untouchable again. Unfortunetly that would mean De Vrij will play a bit worse, Bastoni will probably play much worse (as he is not as good central defender) and getting Kumbula will make even less sense. No wonder only us and Lazio were that interested in him (we both play currently with 3 at the back and Kumbula suits there the most).

Playing 4 at the back would also mean Hakimi being less efective comparing to wingback. Young will also be not as good. Candreva will be a problem cause he would have no place in 4312 for example and for 433 he is just not good enough.

Eriksen will have his place, which is good. This should not impact (hopefully) Lukaku Martinez duo if we play 4312 as that formation also uses CF and supporting striker. 3 midfielders in the middle should also be not affected.

However as you see, going back to 4 at the back has it's pros, but also cons. Allegri makes most sense atm though, if Conte leaves.
