Pretty sure Allegri will soon be receiving a call again. Hope that happens because this side is just going no where.

Pochettino please.

Let's build properly this time. While Allegri is a very good coach, it is just greasing the wheels and getting by. We need some freshness. There are enough young players here. Pochettino could get magic out of all we have.

We don't even need to bring Spalletti back, he's already here. Collecting paychecks normally. Just change the roles of Conte and Spalletti.

He earns double of that at Atletico. We can't afford him even if Conte decided to resign which won't happen.

Forza Conte, Conte will fix this, just give him another 80mil to replace both wing backs and it will be fine.

12 million per year Conte has not done anything else that 1 million coach would be able to do.

Conte can usually beat those lesser teams but against bigger teams and in CL and in finals he is worse than average italian serie a coach.

I am not clearly recognising what is his tactical goal. Formation is clear and it won't change. Player choices also. The biggest flaw is that Conte cannot read the game and make little adjustments based on the game and opponent. For example Mourinho played 442 rombo in serie a and more attacking 4213 in CL. I believe Conte's inability to chance his tactic makes him do badly in CL.

Against small teams Inter can only focus its own game but not against bigger teams. IMO insisting to play from the back in Madrid was pure stupidity. You could see straight away that Real by pressing will create trouble and Inter will lose ball near of their own penalty box. Still Conte insisted to continue that and it didn't work.

Conte has no alternative approach. Thats why we are only waiting the day when Suning will consider cheaper to get rid of Conte than continue with his big contract.

Wow I didn't know that. Good for him, he definitely deserves that pay.

In all honestly, I wouldn't mind have the bald guy back for the rest of the season. We are paying him anyway and Spalletti is good in making a organized steady team. Nothing special but we don't need anything special we just need to get in the first 4 spots in the competition. Will we get to see boring football? Yes but this squad is way better then Spalletti could work with so who knows. After this season we need to start from zero, we need a new manager and new sportive directors. Set up a plan as a club, not depending on what the coaches you bring in want. But we need a f*ckin plan for the long term so we can grow as a club, I have the feeling if we let Conte and Marotta in charge we can start all over next summer after bringing in tons of old high earning players.

I'm so glad we skipped on Tonali and Kumbulla this summer so we could get Vidal, Kolarov and Darmian and we can finally win something.

I don't believe Suning are going to fire Conte just yet but let's say for the sake of the argument they decide to go for it. I am not sure who could be a realistic replacement.

My preference would be Pochettino but he's too expensive. He had asked for 10m/season from Agnelli last summer and i don't think his demands have changed.

Everyone wants Allegri. From a sporting point of view he makes the most sense. He inherited a Conte team in the past, he's Serie A proven at the top level and he's tactically flexible. But i don't think Inter can afford him either. Even if he agreed to get a salary similar to the one he had at Juventus (6-7m) i can't see Suning spending as much on the new coach on top of paying Conte and Spalletti.

Then you have coaches who have done well elsewhere, they would be relatively cheaper than the above two but have no Serie A experience (e.g. Blanc, Marcelino). Intriguing options but too much of a risk to bring them midseason.

Then you have Serie A coaches who have shown some promising signs in midtable teams but have no experience at the top level (e.g. De Zerbi, Juric, D'Aversa). Huge gambles but at least they have coaching experience.

Lastly, the nuclear option. You can pull a Juve (again :palm:) and bring a former player who barely has any coaching experience (e.g. Cambiasso, Materazzi, Stankovic). I have a feeling Suning would love this option as they would be dirty cheap. :D

No. Just no. Spalletti is as stubborn with 4-2-3-1 as Conte is with the back 3. I think i had enough of Lautaro trequartista, his fascination with Vecino and Nainggolan and Perisic always starting no matter what. Inter was as much unwatchable at the end of his tenure as it is now under Conte.

Pochettino would be a perfect choice but he needs time to build his team and bringing his ideas into the squad. For me Simeone is the dream target but I don't think this is something realistic. So I think Allegri is the most realistic option and maybe even the most preferable at this stage.

Who would you want realistically if they decide to sack Conte now? I'm definitely not a Spalletti fan and it's kinda sad that I have to mention him because of his track record but do you think he would start those players if we have a Barella, Eriksen and a fully fit Sensi? And I'm talking about the rest of the year not getting him as a coach for the coming years. But if we sack Conte now and we don't have any money to pay a new coach what would be a good option? Yeah it would be great to see someone like Cambiasso as a coach but the risk of getting him would be to great for the club, but also for the player himself.

Yeah. Pochettino will need time to adjust to Serie A so he would be a better option for the summer if he's still interested. Simeone is my dream target as well but let's face it. He's out of reach for many reasons. Allegri obviously is the safe option so i would go for him but if we can't afford him i really don't know.

I always liked Blanc but he hasn't worked since 2016. That's a lot of time out of the job. Marcelino is a poor man's Simeone and i wanted him at Inter when they decided to go for Pioli but he will need time we don't have in order to adjust to Serie A. I also don't think we have the squad to play his favorite 4-4-2.

Unlike the majority who wants Cambiasso, i would choose Stankovic if we go for the nuclear option. He at least has some coaching experience. But i agree it would be a huge gamble and mostly a financial choice.

Stankovic is dominating the domestic league at the moment with 13 wins, 2 draws and 0 loses. But then again... that's Serbian football.
Red Star is playing against Gent this afternoon in Europa League, that is a good chance to get some actual insight into his work. That being said, his squad is a hit and miss, he is relying on couple of more experienced players to drag the team.

He definitely has a knack for it, but Italian football has changed since he last played. I wouldn't mind giving him a chance but not before he has another season in Serbia, and then two or three seasons in Serie B at the very least. He is too raw.

If we want to change, the right name is Allegri, nobody else.

Imagine...

4-3-1-2
handanovic; hakimi de vrij skriniar bastoni; barella brozovic vidal; eriksen; lautaro lukaku.

This is a great team!
